23/1/2015 14:39 | However I have noticed that when the POO tickes up a bit this moves too, which tells me that this markdown has been driven partly by sentiment and caution. If it was an oil producer I would understand but it's not!! Infact lower fuel costs should be good here, the next statement will be interesting but I can't see too much more downside risk maybe 10% but upside could be back up to 160p or 60pc, all in imo .. | fruitninja84
23/1/2015 14:27 | Explanation much appreciated Fruitninja. My feeling is also that we have a seller in our midst. | brownr0
23/1/2015 14:24 | MM only order book usually always less liquid, a public book the spread can narrow and widen accordingly, right now there's lots of 'buys' today but the price ain't going anywhere as as soon as orders are bought up fresh orders appear to fill the gap on the book so someone is selling into the buyers, this is unlikely to change as sentiment in the sector is so poor... I can't say what the L2 screen is looking like terms and conditions ect, but we ain't dealing with MM just yet, there is in fact a larger seller out there then a buyer .. Hope that kinda helps , | fruitninja84
23/1/2015 12:48 | Thanks fruit was unaware of this. In your experience does this change your interpretation of the spread vs MM controlled when it comes to buy sell timings etc. | brownr0
23/1/2015 12:22 | Not MM only book, anyone who trades on exchange puts orders in at the sell price is a market maker and vice v... | fruitninja84
23/1/2015 11:51 | All I'm seeing is buys this morning MM's keep fiddling around with the spread to suit there ends imo. No change there then. | brownr0

19/1/2015 11:43 | Why the 7% spread today not sure to take that as good or bad news ?? | kito691
19/1/2015 10:17 | Market makers shut up shop today. How are you meant to buy a stock with a 7pc spread? | wipo1
15/1/2015 07:39 | Growth is also well mapped out based on new vessels coming on tap. I should say that reduced contractual rates might also be a risk. | hydrus
15/1/2015 07:38 | Has the Naked Trader misunderstood this? I can't see what kind of positive surprise news GMS could produce which would produce a 20% gain. It's not that kind of company. Revenues and contracted vessel rates are known already and they are good. This is surely a steady eddy type of company. You know what you are getting. Only risks are that contracts don't get renewed. | hydrus
