More desperate fantasy I note from the poster who gave you suckers such classics as there will be no wipeout, no billions of new shares, the bond holders will be paid off, the 55k a day is weeks away, there is no water, the Chinese, Chevers, Xom, ENI, Shell, BP, the Russians are coming!!! And that Trump was on his way back into the WH and would then sort out Iran!!!

Then there's all his BS about gas flaring and that there are strict controls and guidelines in the Industry that oil producers have to comply with. I wonder if the moron saw in the news yesterday that there are several "Majors" that aren't telling the truth? And Iraq was mentioned. Perhaps the moron ought to do some serious research about what is really occurring in the last great frontier before making his assumptions and assuming the flaring isn't causing any health issues out there.

Only recently Mr "ex in the Industry" the Yanks announced that it was up to Baghdad and Erbil to sort their issues out and that it would be wrong of them to get involved. Was that something you missed or something you have to ignore as it just doesn't fit with your misleading agenda? I did mention a few times before they made that announcement that they are just paying "lip service" to the ongoing issues between Erbil and Baghdad. I would suggest the Yanks have quite a few more important problems to concern them than the 15 year impasse about an oil law.

Oil price

A big rally yesterday which was probably mainly down to Hurricane Ian which has cut production in the Gulf, but already gone through and is now wreaking havoc in Florida. Whilst production will return it may be that onshore downstream facilities may restrict the product markets.

The EIA inventory stats were also better than expected, crude oil actually drew, albeit a small amount of 215/- barrels but the whisper was for a big build after the API stats last night and gasoline saw bigger demand and drew by 2.422m b’s and distillates by nearly 3m barrels. The refinery run rate fell by 2 clear points to 90.6% and as we approach the autumn I expect more. Don’t forget that the SPR release is about to end…

It is thought that the board would not accept the estimated £8-a-share that Exxon is considering and that a number of other companies, perhaps including China's Sinopec and Californian giant Chevron, are monitoring the situation. There is even some speculation that an informal four-way auction for GKP might be under way, while it is also believed that the company has spoken to at least two smaller businesses about potentially developing its assets in a joint venture.
