I'm sure I've got it somewhere on an old laptop from the older presentations but I don't have that here with me whilst I'm working overseas. I like those older comparison images, it is nice to remember just how massive Shaikan is, as current CPRs only look at a fraction of what is there when we all know the truth about the actual billions of barrels of reserves and not just oil in place and hence the true value of this elephant field which will continue to pump oil for decades at a much higher daily output than current. One day it will rerate accordingly and until then buy the dips and enjoy the paid to wait for the inevitable with dividends

HTTPS://stockhouse.com/news/newswire/2022/04/14/ready-for-next-oil-boom-kurdistan-s-profitable-petro-playThe Iraqi-Kurdish petroleum exploration and production sector offers a unique proposition for investors. With Kurdistan as the autonomous region of Iraq, it is in the third largest OPEC producer.Kurdistan still stands as one of the frontier areas of oil and gas production and sits on 45 billion barrels of potential reserves on what they call the very prolific Western Zagros fault. A complex geological structure, these are fractured carbonates that only a few could capitalize upon.

"Because that's not how it works"

Oh ok, everyone knows about GKP but no company puts a bid in, oh that's good, amazing business style.

Well I'm glad I gave you a laugh and you find my comments amusing, what I would like to ask in my defence is: If GKP are on everyone's radar like you suggest then why hasn't a bid come forward and this all snapped up?

So basically if I'm reading into this correct there is a lot of activity in Iraq because of this 120 day window with Iran so if GKP are going to get noticed it should be this next few months, so basically it's a case of holding, if not you miss the bid and that would be heart breaking, imagine that, being out waiting for a retrace and the bid drops.

HL ...

Why would a company buy back shares?

There are a few reasons companies might decide to carry out a buyback.

It could be because they think their shares are undervalued. In the same way investors look for opportunities to invest in undervalued shares, companies themselves might want to buy its own shares if they believe the price doesn’t accurately reflect future prospects. In these cases, it’s seen as a nod of confidence from management. It’s also a way to reward existing shareholders who have waited out a period of slower growth.

Sometimes the decision to buy back shares is tactical. Not only does it improve shareholder value, but it also makes dividend payments more affordable. There are many companies out there whose investors expect continuous dividend growth. That means the company will need to funnel more and more cash to shareholders every year. Buying back shares when they’re undervalued reduces the cost of payments because there’ll be fewer shares to pay a dividend out on.

It amazing that GKP is still allowed to sit on Shaikan and pay out massive divis to shareholders for years on end......lol.

Crazy times but I'll take the massive divis and reinvest them for loads more shares, so the divis just keep getting bigger and bigger.

Compound is our friend.
