Investors Chronicle tips can lead to volatility. New investors are likely to be unaware of the political shenanigans between Erbil and Baghdad. The recent Supreme Court ruling will have no political acceptance by the Kurds - LTHs have seen it all before. However, new investors piling in for the dividend have now been scared off and sold out - probably at a loss. The IC tip is, in my view correct, but PIs must accept a lot of short term turbulence with GKP.

The problem with the original reports of years ago talking about billions of OIP was back then the drills hadn't found at that stage (or so we were told by Kozel and friends) any water. S6 found loads and was abandoned which shrunk the field to the East. Now there's S12 and that's in the middle of the field and it would appear in different zones. Water has been found all over the field and its another reason why installing ESP's is extremely risky.

Was there ever the famous "mull"? Or was it just more BS from the mouth of someone that has admitted being a liar? After all didn't JG contradict him In Court with the words "there was nothing going on"?

Told you suckers many times the data from the Kozel days is irrelevant and the proof is coming from the drills. Rather telling that the data from the Kozel years has disappeared innit:-) S9 failed, S12 has failed, S13/S14 have huge issues and were well below "expectations".

S13/S14 are well below their "expectations" and S12 production has been "curtailed".

Its almost a cert production is back to around low 40's or lower.

Those dividends look really expensive now innit:-)

I said all the recent wells had failed. However there are other wells that are having "difficulties" and not performing to "expectations" I understand.

My dividend just over 22,000 so only about a third of your holding Todd.
It will also all go back in Friday , Youinvest always credit divs promptly in my experience.
Something about the high aggression HFT down drive and very obvious trollathon , makes me think we have big news close by. earlier than Friday.
Lets see how things go.

The Kurdish Shaikan PSC's were established as legal under the Iraqi Constitution and International Law by XOM about a decade ago. Otherwise they would not have invested in Kurdistan. Go back and see for yourself.

While you were typing it I was once again studying the below comprehensive analysis by "The Law Review" and I also can stiil see nothing to suggest that the ICG can constitutionally impose their will on the Kurds with respect to Oil & Gas law.

I have taken the liberty of copying your post below:-

"The ambiguities within the new Iraq Constitution have all been well aired, here and elsewhere. That's why we are where we are - the law was, in part, poorly drafted and allowed far too much free interpretation of what was meant to be.
(The much-touted and poorly drafted Minsk Agreements are similarly behind much of what is happening today in the Ukraine.)
In the Iraq constitution, for example; Article 115 says something to the effect that:
"The priority goes to the regional law in case of conflict between other powers shared between the federal government and regional governments".
In a similar vein, Article 121, 2 says something to the effect that:
"In case of a contradiction between regional and national legislation in respect to a matter outside the exclusive powers of the federal government, the regional authority shall have the right to amend the application of the national legislation within that region".
Finally, Article 126 states:

Blackrock hold shares in Sinopec.
The share price doesn't make sense,it's meant to be that way.
Shades of COVE imo as the FDP agreement draws closer(Cough cough)
Why would GKP be handing out large amounts of cash to share holders if they had a very large,cash intensive Field Dev. to undertake?

Before they announce a bid/takeover I would expect( and hope) for a recapitilisation.
They have indicated 'opportunities to optimise capital structure for a year or so.
That is what I would expect first.
A concentration of equity - a major reduction in shares in issue.

Obviously :)The effort to drive the only remaining sellers available ( private investors ) out has been HUGE this past few days.I am inclined to think some very good news is close by.Probably a bid.
