Sunni Shia argy bargy again

ERBIL — Former Iraqi Prime Minister and the leader of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, has planned a meeting on Sunday evening to convene the Shia factions who are concerned with the results of the parliamentary elections.

According to an official statement, only the Sadrist Movement, which has secured the largest number of seats, is not invited to the meeting.

Maliki’s office described the factions included in the meeting as the “patrioticR21; ones which will convene to address the concerns around the election results and secure the rights of the people through legal and constitutional procedures.

The ongoing protest, led by the supporters of the Shia militias of Hashd al-Shaabi, will be another topic for the meeting.

The protests over the past few days forced the Iraqi special forces to raise the security measures around the Green Zone, where the top Iraqi institutions and most of the foreign diplomatic missions are located.

Sadr, on the other hand, has already accepted the results and called on other factions to abide by the instructions and acknowledge the credibility of the elections.

highlander7, I suggest you read the posts from years ago from a departed 'guru' as reposted by nestofBS very carefully. Make sure you read them slowly as I appreciate you still have problems reading, miss what's being said preferring to make up what you want the post to say.

Its obvious why Mr W was baffled simply because the data contradicts itself. He also makes reference to John G looking puzzled when making the presentation. Mr W also makes reference to data that seemingly just doesn't hold together. Then there's data from "unknown sources" which no one has been able to validate.

The data as bigged up by Kozel is no longer relevant which is why it was never referred to under the JF regime. As for the water just have a look at the shaiCON map and consider what Mr W was saying. He was on the right lines as far as there was so much that didn't look correct.

You're welcome.

ERBIL — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Monday received Indian Ambassador to Iraq Prashant Pise in Erbil where they discussed bilateral ties and the latest developments in the region.

PM Barzani and Ambassador Pise exchanged views on the Iraqi parliamentary elections held on October 10, according to the readout of the meeting.

“Both sides discussed India’s developing relationship with Kurdistan Region, focusing on trade, culture and investment,” the readout added.

India has turned into one of the main destinations for people from the Kurdistan Region for medical tourism.

In the Kurdistan Region, a large number of Indian experts and workforce are well contributing to the development of different sectors and building people-to-people relations.
