25/10/2021 12:29 | Surprised you have referenced Alali's tweet in 643756 above. To me it does not indicate what I expect the PAT for the second half might be. The tweet states average price of Brent was $65 per barrel for the 6 months to 30 June 2021. An assumption is made that the above average will be $75 for the second half. A 12% increase. The half year results declared a PAT of $65m. The tweet then goes onto state the second half will be $75m - ie a 12% increase, and $138m for the full year. It is worthwhile looking at the six months results. Average realised price for the six months to June 2021 $43.7 - PAT $64.8m Average realised price for the six months to June 2020 $19.1m - Loss after tax $33.1m So, far from simple - increase in oil price of, say 12% generates a 12% movement in profit. So, for the avoidance of doubt - I expect not only a bigger increase in average price realised by GKP of 12% in the second half. But also, a markedly larger PAT than $75m. Like others, I expect a dividend to be declared in December, payable in Jan. The Bond Holders want these dividends (and I love them too). I am certainly expecting the share price to be north of £3 this time next year. Ramp over - DYOR | attyg

25/10/2021 11:48 | No matter how low your opinion may be of PFOC, surely the hosting advfn platform - and its so-called "moderators" - bear a large portion of the blame for allowing his repetitive nonsense to clog up the board ? | broadford bay

The La Nina pattern, which forms when equatorial trade winds strengthen to bring colder, deep water up from the bottom of the sea, has emerged in the Pacific. That typically spells below-normal temperatures in the northern hemisphere and has prompted regional weather agencies to issue warnings about a frigid winter. | beernut
