05/10/2021 10:16 | Gulf Keystone gets second arrears payment from Kurdistan government Tue, 5th Oct 2021 09:56Alliance News (Alliance News) - Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd on Tuesday confirmed it received a second payment from the Kurdistan regional government regarding crude oil sales and outstanding invoices. The London-listed oil producer, which operates in Iraq, received a gross payment of USD38.5 million. Of the total sum, USD30.1 million is net to Gulf Keystone. The payment comprised of USD32.1 million for Shaikan crude oil sales during July this year and USD6.4 million related to arrears from outstanding invoices from December 2019 to February 2020. In May, the Kurdistan regional government asked the oil producer to reduce the pace at which it is paying arrears. The regional government cited the impact of Covid-19 on Iraq and the improved global price of oil for the amended payment schedule. The amendment was applied from its March invoices. So far, Gulf Keystone has received a gross payment of USD35.1 million for crude oil sales during March and April, which was USD27.4 million net to the company. The current outstanding arrears balance is USD45.2 million net to Gulf Keystone. "The company continues to engage with the Kurdistan regional government on its proposal," the company commented. Gulf Keystone shares were up 2.9% at 211.00 pence in London on Tuesday. By Josie O'Brien; josieobrien@alliance | ![]() beernut

05/10/2021 08:58 | Bloomberg - latest No Crude Oil For You! It certainly doesn’t calm anybody’s stagflation radar — stagfladar? — that oil prices keep going through the roof as energy crises flare all over the world. And there’s no immediate relief in sight. Liam Denning writes that, even with high prices, U.S. oil producers don’t want to pump more of it because investors punish them for it. The petrostate supergroup known as OPEC+ doesn’t have to worry about tiresome investors. But it’s in denial about just how scarce oil is getting around the world, writes Julian Lee. Today the group agreed to stick to a plan of leisurely production increases, inspiring more frantic buying. Something will have to give here. | ![]() highlander7

05/10/2021 08:21 | All looking good KRG receives 200 billion dinars from Baghdad, Region's MoF says Kurdistan Kurdistan 2021-10-04 15:38 A- A A+ Shafaq News/ The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has received 200 billion dinars from the Federal Government of Iraq, the Region's Ministry of Finance (MoF) said earlier today, Monday. A brief press release by the Ministry said that the amount received by the Region's government is an "advance" pending the Federal Monitoring Committee's audit into the incomes of the Kurdistan Region. Under the 2021 budget law, which was passed by a majority of Arab and Kurdish legislators after months of wrangling, KRG is committed to producing no less than 460,000 bpd of oil. After deducting expenses for production operations in the region, transport of oil and the domestic consumption of crude oil, KRG must hand over to Baghdad revenues generated from regional oil exports of 250,000 bpd, according to Iraq's Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) pricing, in exchange of a fixed share that equals 12.6% of the Federal budget. | ![]() beernut
