Then 3 things need to happen.

(1) The Oil & Gas Law needs to be signed off.
(2) The current Oil & Gas Contracts have to to be revised and rewritten
(3( Iranian influence in Iraq has to be countered.

Until these are done I doubt they have much chance . XOM usually sets the trend. It would also appear they are justifiably wary of the Chinese "bearing gifts" .

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi said that ExxonMobil is considering leaving Iraq for reasons related to its internal administrative practices and decisions, noting that his country wants another American company to replace Exxon when it leaves Iraq.

Exxon, which appeared in 2019 to proceed with a $53 billion project to increase Iraqi oil production, is seeking to sell its 32.7% stake in West Qurna 1, one of Iraq's largest oil fields.

Al-Kazemi told a small group of journalists in Washington after talks with President Joe Biden on Monday that ExxonMobil is considering exiting Iraq for reasons related to its internal administrative practices and decisions, not because of the situation in Iraq.

Speaking through an interpreter, he added that when ExxonMobil leaves, Iraq will not accept an alternative but another American company.

Al-Kazemi did not specify which US companies might be interested in the stake. Chevron also has operations in Iraq.

Iraqi Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar had said in May that Iraq was considering buying ExxonMobil's stake in the West Qurna 1 field through the state-owned Basra Oil Company.

Keep bigging up your divis suckers cos that's all your gonna get as no one is the slightest bit interested in a few barrels of sludge that's real difficult to pump.

Then there's all the water problems. And gas problems. And sulphur problems. And flaring problems. And the host problems.

Even the chinese had a look allegedly but walked away when they could have taken it for a few packets of rice and noodles.

DNO walked away also and no one else from the Data Room was the slightest bit interested.

Another day and still no sign of Stockport's finest BS err deal by arrangement/hostile arrived.

But as no one is the slightest bit interested in a few barrels of real heavy sludge that's proving incredibly difficult to extract why would they be.

Any signs of the Oil for budget agreement, lol.

But its good to see that the company is still acting as the hosts charity of choice and loan lender innit:-)

The GKP Double Dividends, the first of which was paid 26 days ago & the second which will be paid in 9 days time (just 35 days apart) will be reinvested by myself into free GKP shares to grow my stake further.

I am also looking forward to the GKP share buyback of upto 10 percent of all outstanding GKP shares, which will then be retired by the company, to grow my portfolio value further.

It is not rocket science...

I merely follow the lead of the huge institutions continually buying; holding & increasing their percentage stakes in GKP.

I also follow the lead of the current GKP Board Directors who are insiders & have bought GKP shares.

I also follow the lead of the ex CEO & ex CFO of GKP who were insiders & chose to vest into GKP shares just a few days ago, rather than taking life changing tax paid lump sums of money instead.

I now follow the lead of the new GKP CEO Jon Harris, who is a man on a mission to balance investment in growth together with returns to shareholders, as the board develop and realise value from the Shaikan Field for the benefit of all stakeholders.

They all clearly think GKP are Golden Tickets & so do I ;-)

GKP has already retested 200p + after a 52 week high at 202.5p and it is now a bull flag breakout targeting 300p, looking highly likely too with:-

1) Peel Hunt setting a GKP BUY target of 275p per share on 11/6.

2) GKP MACD has now turned upwards on the GKP chart after the 1st GKP Dividend pay out was made on 2/7.

3) The 2nd GKP Special Dividend payment is due to be paid in just 9 days time on 6/8 & there will be increased institutional & PI buying pressure to buy in & qualify for the Special Dividend in just 1 days time by 29/7 (T+1) before the record date cut off of 30/7.

4) GKP about to imminently launch a 10 percent share buyback of 21.3 MILLION shares & then retire them.

5) Shaikan 13 well has been in progress ahead of schedule & the drill results are due any day now, taking GKP Shaikan BOPD production up from circa 43600 BOPD to 50000 BOPD.

6) Shaikan I to commence shortly after Shaikan 13 result & also the fitting of 2 ESPs into existing wells to raise GKP Shaikan BOPD production up from 50000 to 55000 BOPD by Q4 2021
