BD that was the story doing the rounds at the time . That the restructuring was necessary to prevent a group of hostile Hedge funds ( some US based ) getting control of the company. ( Some of whom incidentally are buying frantically now ).

Debenhams did the same recently to prevent Mike Ashley getting control of the BOD.

That being the case , lets see how all this benefits Shareholders. IF and when the Co is sold.

I also agree about the Kurds wanting Control of their assets which is why the O&G Law is crucial.

The so-called trolls have finished their mission which was to prevent agressive investors to take a blocking stake in the cy. To achieve that, the size of Shaikan and the quality had to be kept secret, avoiding problems with the Arabs, Iranians and Turks.

A quasi state has the right to keep control of its assets.

CorrectIf that is true highlander, LSE and ADVFN will be in breach of the Data Protection Act and could be heavily fined and closed down. The FCA should be contacted.
