31/8/2019 16:19 | The core samples of Shaikan & especially Shaikan 1b would not have been accessible to all. | steephill cove
31/8/2019 16:17 | Big fields just keep getting bigger & Shaikan is a Supergiant. There are not many of them left on Planet Earth. Its taken time, because it?s been bitterly contested & fought over. Its also taken time because it?s a Country Maker. Perella Weinberg were employed to protect THE PRIZE. And it will be sold when a realistic price is finally offered. | steephill cove

31/8/2019 13:34 | As I said earlier.... However, the MNR may not want GKP to do it with THE PRIZE. GKPs going to be sold & the former will be the task of the new owners to assist the MNR. Likely new owner? Well who has had access to core samples including ones from the fabled Shaikan 1b drill? Who reported the findings to the oil world at GEO Bahrain 2018? | steephill cove
31/8/2019 13:24 | Didn't Mackertich and Sammarai carry out a survey on Kirkuk prior to joining GKP. I believe it was commissioned by BP. | 0ili0

31/8/2019 08:27 | They know how to treat Shaikan due to going wrong with Kirkuk . I think the last thing they will do is steam inject the Cretaceous , in about 80 years time ! | nestoframpers
31/8/2019 07:44 | No wonder major US & Swiss institutions have accumulated GKP since. After all, they probably won't get THE PRIZE but they can ride the GKP share price all the way to its final destination & make money off the back of the final GKP purchaser. | steephill cove
31/8/2019 07:28 | Mutley, GKP can ramp up the BOPD very easily if they increase the field PSIs. They can do this a number of ways, ESPs; Gas ReInjection or simply releasing the Permian. Increasing the PSIs will allow the the lighter oil to more readily flow from the Triassic Kurra Chine layer & this can be used to improve the Jurassic Oil to a lighter blend, improving the export quality. Which counteracts your heavily oil is no good diatribe. However, the MNR may not want GKP to do it with THE PRIZE. GKPs going to be sold & the former will be the task of the new owners to assist the MNR. Likely new owner? Well who has had access to core samples including ones from the fabled Shaikan 1b drill? Dr. Adam Law, the Director of Geoscience at ERC, has said that the combined potential of the existing nine production wells "far exceeds current production levels". Over three years on and isn't the production number still under 40k a day? What could possibly be the reason for that:-) All about the barrels? The ones they haven't been able to get out? So much for the experts eh:-) | bigdog5

30/8/2019 20:28 | stevestacey 9 days ago - "And yes I do know some fund managers and as you all know, there are some big hitters involved in this share." You've asked some good questions there Steve. And you're right, there are some big hitters invested here. So it's interesting that you know the managers of those funds. Those managers will be well placed to know the answers to your questions and we would all be very interested to hear the views of the big hitters. Maybe you could ask them and tell us what they say. We also have a contributor on the board called Sarah, and her Uncle Tony knows all those big hitters as well, in fact he tells us that he's a big hitter himself, he's a real mine of information. I suspect that you'd have a lot in common. | habshan
