19/8/2019 22:05 | To be fair to BBBS he knew what he was talking about, makes SurreyScot and Bob look like right idiots. | stockport loser
19/8/2019 21:56 | Is that the same BBBS who sold out? And the same BBBS who was taking tips of Stopthismadness on trading whilst he delivered rampathon posts based on P1? Although his worst has to the spidey button on the ramp excel sheet they pumped. Shameless. | stockport loser
19/8/2019 21:14 | worth zooming out some times -------------------- Bah_Bah_Black_Sheep Jul '10 In the vein of Dalesman’s ‘blue sky’ (conservative imo!) calculations earlier today, and triggering off some of the superb insight in Zengas’ post, I’d like to add some further comments as follows: I think Akri Bijeel is only missing on pages 15 - 20 of the GKP 4th May 2010 presenation because it really is in a separate structure. But there are some other things missing - because their mapped structure clearly does not terminate at the boundaries of SH, SA and BB: The structure continues north-west of BB into the ‘open’ block, and quite possibly all the way up to (and including?) Tawke. The structure continues south-west of BB - into DNO’s Summail prospect. The structure continues south of SA (& west of Shaikan) into Al Qush. The structure continues south-east of Al Qush (& south of Shaikan) into Hunt’s Simrit-1 well area. (Refer page 12 in the November Presentation where GKP first revealed “structural style” extending into SA - but also into Hunt’s Ain Sifni block!) I think the enormity of the structure is best summarised by looking at the size and shape of the original DNO Dihok PSA, see page 11: hugin.info 233783.pdf 1387.13 KB At first sight, the shape of the original Dihok PSA looks weird - but the satellite image shows that the block boundaries were deliberately drawn to encompass one monster NW-SE trending topographical feature. Note that the original Dihok PSA area corresponds to the present-day blocks of Tawke + “open” block + BB + SA + Duhok (DNO’s Summail) + Al Qush, refer: Could DNO’s original Dihok PSA area be one monstrous structure? IMO, it is definitely possible because: The maps on pages 15 - 20 of the GKP 4th May 2010 presenation are only for the Top Jurassic. The deeper Triassic and Permian horizons would occupy a much larger area below - because they are deeper within the overall anticline geometry. As previously posted around six months ago, a reliable source within DNO told me that their current thinking at that time was that Summail shares the same structure with Shaikan. The Tawke Field currently comprises an ‘upper’ and ‘lower’ reservoir. The ‘upper’ reservoir is in the Tertiary, the ‘lower’ in the Cretaceous, (refer page 13 in the DNO presentation referenced above). More than a dozen wells have been drilled in Tawke, but to my knowledge, not one has probed deeper into the Jurassic (let alone the Triassic and Permian). Why not? Have DNO been instructed NOT to probe deeper? The adjoining “open” block has multiple holes that seem to have been drilled systematically over the main anticline in the original Dihok PSA (Dihok Central) - refer page 7: What else do they know about this block? Why is it still “open”? Or is this prime plot merely reserved? I think the big picture is important. I think Galbraith and co were well advised when they chose what they chose as “first mover” in Kurdistan. I think Adnan Samarrai was aware of the big picture too - why else would he conceivably link Shaikan with Jebel Kand some 26 km away? And if GKP knows about these things - I’m sure that RAK (and backers) do too. I don’t think RAK are interested in DNO just for present-day Tawke … But back to GKP - the big picture in terms of regional aquifer is now being postulated as far as Akri Bijeel. So we now have data points left (JK) and right (AB) of Shaikan that supports Shaikan’s Jurassic OWC. When/if the OWC is proven to apply in Shaikan - the OIP will immediately approach the P1 figure. Now of course, it can only be proven for sure, when pressure data from both the oil and water legs are measured in the same well - i.e. the well would need to actually penetrate the OWC. Shaikan-2 will tell us more. But, MAYBE, Hunt’s Simrit well has already answered the question. It is certainly located at about the right place to do this. Do you think Todd got the wells (Simrit and AB) mixed up when he told us about the implications of the water pressure data? I bet he knows the results from Simrit-1 in any case - and so he may also already know that Shaikan is filled to spill. Now that could tempt an early bid… BBBS | nestoframpers
