"Looks like Chevers or the Chinese are two down to XOM (KRG's 20% + Bir's allegedly) so if they want to win it they gotta get in it, init.

Still prefer the dream team though of XOM, Chevers and Sino.

That way the KRG keep everyone happy. Like Dalesman's £16 a share calc."

"Whichever way one cuts the cake, either using $5 a barrel reserves or the $1.5 resources/OIP we get a value around the £19-£20 a share mark. So to me and for even a quick low takeaway we have to be looking at least £15 a share with upside should the Chinese (or even now the Koreans) come for the whole shop".

Au contraire, I called 2018 spot on (like the years before)

"Mr R/1waving. I'm not discounting the possibility of the massive numbers for one nano. bobobob has posted the volumetrics several times and 50b at Shaikan and even BBBS's 100b is possible.

If they can then we move into Chicago Jack's ballpark of SP's at £20ps+. At that point I would be very surprised if there wasn't JV's set up to take us out. And lets face it, there's enough of em we could share it out to."

ERBIL - The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is making progress toward achieving 24-hour electricity - taking advantage of rising natural gas production to help close the gap between power supply and demand.

Generation has been increasing steadily in the last three months, according to KRG Electricity Ministry Spokesperson Hama Ameen Hawrami - from an average of 2,500 megawatts in September to a single-day peak of 3,513 megawatts in December.

Have you not realised that any bidder needs reassurance via very very detailed DD as to what they had agreed to buy?
It's Bermudan m and a law....
They agreed a sale ages ago via implementation agreement giving exclusivity to the buyer

Dana Gas receives $324m from all its operations
By our business bureau January 01, 2019
Print Send to Friend
SHARJAH: Dana Gas (Company), the Middle East’s largest private sector regional natural gas company, announces total 2018 cash collections from operations in Egypt, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Sharjah in the UAE of $324 million (Dhs1.2 bn), which will support the company’s growth plans as well as stated dividend distribution policy.

Further to the collections from Egypt that were already announced, the Company reported that during Q4 2018, Pearl Petroleum Company Limited (‘Pearl Petroleum’) has received $102 million (Dhs 374m) from condensate and LPG sales from the Khor Mor field in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Dana Gas is a 35 per cent shareholder in Pearl Petroleum and accordingly its share of such receipts by Pearl Petroleum is $36 million (Dhs132m). This brings total collections received by Pearl Petroleum for the year to date to $322 million (Dhs1.18bn) and to $113 million (Dhs414m) for Dana Gas’ share.

Dr Patrick Allman-Ward, CEO, Dana Gas, said: “The overall cash collections from operations for the year is a positive achievement for Dana Gas and will support the company’s growth plans as well as dividend distribution potential. In the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, our joint operations have received all payments in full and on time, which gives confidence for our planned future investments to more than double production levels there within the next few years.”

Dana Gas recently announced that as a result of the ramp up of production from debottlenecking project in the KRI and the completion of the Balsam-8 well in Egypt, its group production reached 70,000 barrels of oil per day (boepd). This represents a significant increase compared to the Company’s 9M 2018 average of 62,250 boepd.

The expansion of the gas processing plant in the KRI consisted of a series of plant additions and modifications to de-bottleneck throughput, raising output capacity from 305 MMscf/d of natural gas to 400 MMscf/d, with over 15,000 barrels per day of condensate. This is expected to add up to $50 million (Dhs 183m) annually to the Company’s revenues without incurring any significant operational costs.

Pearl Petroleum is also undertaking a multi-well drilling programme at Khor Mor and Chemchemal, with expansion plans to progress and grow gas production by a further 500 MMscf/d and liquids production by a further 10-12,000 boepd over the coming three years. These are planned to be primarily funded by the sums set aside in the Settlement Agreement and from retained earnings from the expanded production streams and from third party financing arrangements, and are not expected to require cash injections from Dana Gas.

how much have the buyers paid?a function of how many recoverable barrels X buyers price per barrel X concentration effect of Samis "optimising capital structure Mins 350 2 p X 8 bucks X 1.1= 3.1bn bucks around £10 a shareMax hmmmmm3bn 2pX 22per barrel x1.5 = £330 ,/shareI'll settle on about £20-30 hxxps://ekurd.net/china-gulf-keystone-kurdistan-2018-12-14What actually has happened to GKP?Gulf found a huge land based resource. Argue amongst yourselves quite how big , no matter its massive.A variety of tactics were used to try and circumvent the company's grip on the asset.Directors musical chairs , share manipulation , false court claim, and ultimately the company was completely doomed as a hostile acquirer had gained almost enough stock to vote out the board, and vote through an asset sale of Shaikan to themselves, paying off guaranteed debt holders , but leaving equity and convertible bond holders with nothing. The balance sheet restructure was the only way the company could survive. It had two main functions:1. Destroy the hostile holding to prevent Shaikan being stolen.2. Protect the company ( that meant putting over 50% of the shares into hands that were going to hang on) whilst a true auction of the asset , and sale diligence studies , and contracts were completed. Those processes are complete ( see CNPC subsidiary studies ) and he company will announce sale soon.We may see the PSC etc before but I rather doubt that as the MNR probably do not want these details in the public domain. So I anticipate a sale announcement as the PSC negotiations obviously long finished or the company would not , indeed could not have submitted a new FDP that their partner MOL refer in NOv presentation, without PSC term certainty. The who the buyer is looks clear to be CNPC/CNOC/Sinopes one or all.Chinese government agents all.How much? Order of magnitude north of the market share price for sure.
