Nutter quotient dropped on here, don't you think? |
Indeed . This lot have spent the best part of 15 years trying to stop this. On the plus side its allowed time for Shaikan to show its true potential. Anything is possible now.

....maybe on the back of this news we will see a rise in the share price tomorrow. Better still a positive RNS from GKP given oil is supposed to be flowing next week would make for a great weekend. We can but hope for either outcome! |
Pants On Fire Ghani has been at it again....

Baghdad court ends Oil Ministry challenge to KRG oil contracts Kurdistan's oil companies cemented a legal victory as the final avenue for appeal has closed.
A Baghdad court has rejected a last-ditch effort by the federal Oil Ministry to invalidate the Kurdistan region's oil contracts, cementing a legal victory for oil companies and clearing one potential barrier to restarting Iraq's northern crude exports via Turkey.
After losing an appeal at the Karkh Court in Baghdad last December, the Oil Ministry asked the Court of Cassation to reconsider the case. But the court upheld the prior ruling, effectively closing the final avenue for appeal, according to two Baghdad officials and a statement from the Kurdistan region's Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR). |

Rupert might have left it too late 🤩 |
GKP is very much on borrowed time now. No way will this minow company be left in charge of Shaikan for much longer.
Bang gone could honesty come out of the blue any day from here on in. |
I've thought about that. And that's how I was thinking but they do things differently over there. It effectively rules out any future challenges so is a good thing. Not necessarily a last ditch attempt at scuppering the whole thing. |
Now we can sensibly talk about a buy out |
Would ya trust an organisation that has tried as hard as the Iraq Oil Ministry has to invalidate KRG contracts even AFTER the Parliament has voted to restart the oil flowing? |
That is what has held up GKP from formally closing the takeover that has clearly been cooking for well over a year. |
Is that what has been holding things up then? These ducks look like they are actually lining up properly this time. Ffs they've had enough practice! :-) |
