Yes,BP entering Kirkuk was a big giveaway and augurs well for other Majors doing the same. Looking very positive. Hello seven sisters. "It's an oilman's dream". GLA. |
This might very well be over for a couple of reasons.
1) This lot have now finally realised that BP expect the Kurds on board re Kirkuk or they lose the contract.
(2) The Iranians are pre occupied with the threat of Trump sanctions that they know are coming and also suspect he will give the Israeli's a free hand to take out their nuclear sites. So they wont want to provoke the USA even more with this pipeline issue.
IMO |
How are they going to get 1.6m through the pumping/monitoring station and the pipe in Turkey!!!
Drilling and developing the field will depend massively on the terms and conditions.
Will there be any room for sludge in the pipes?
Why would the Majors be interested?
Buy hey Queen lemming sarah you've finally managed to get something correct on who owns the P/M station. But you are ignoring the fact that SOMO will decide what oil goes through it!!!
Spin away queen lemming sarah:-) |
Wow guys, overtime rates tonight. Many thanks to all the great investigations and news posts on this BB, it really is appreciated by investors like me who would be blind without this info.
Maybe THIS time eh ! |
Is this 16 year long nightmare actually coming to an end.
Are we really going to live to see that pipeline full with 1.6 million bpd of crude from Kurdistan and Kirkuk flowing west to the Med.
Are we going to be talking about drilling and developing the field again.
Are we going to see Kurdistan open up to the majors, according to Fuad Hussein BP has already expressed an interest.
Are we going to see Ashti Hawrami's dream of "moving from the small and the beautiful to the large and the magnificent" actually realised at last.
If so "we're gonna need a bigger pipe".
Let's see how Sunday goes first. |
Great posts today, my ISA is feeling a bit frisky again.
SO prediction for tomorrow 165 (only because of hope wear and tear on the false starts)
Post bill pass I'm back with 189+ on Monday.
And a thought on the lack of APIKUR involvement, government aren't able to do any real negotiation until the actual figures are on the table, apart from being a little, ahem, linear, in their planning skills, THEN they can get on with trying to screw over, sorry, negotiate terms with the IOC's. |

A natural feeling but many a slip twixt cup and lip. It`s the vote if it happens that counts. These are very agreeable but slippery people with well entrenched views trying to protect their cause.
Half empty I know but we`ve been here many times. |

He added, "The amendment specifies that the cost of oil production from the Kurdistan Region will be set at 16 dollars per barrel, with the final amount to be determined within 60 days. Bob. September is a blink of an eye away in the scheme of things. The ICG need to come up with something very quickly IMO. The KRG will have a plan B all ready mapped out. It may even be their plan A. So let's see. Brinksmanship appears to be the norm out there so I'm not expecting any breakthrough very soon. |
