https://x.com/john78846295/status/1882031073003262359 PM sent revised version of budget amendment law stipulating #KRG must hand over all oil and gas revenues, domestically or abroad. KRG hasnt yet agreed to this. |
. Interesting that Israel gave a covert warning to Iran just a few months ago of regime change there.
Fostering insurrection quite likely.

This is why every mullah now has multiple armed bodyguards around him, and why Khamenei now wears a bulletproof vest.
A bullet proof vest wont be much good from a 15 ton bunker buster dropped from a USA stealth bomber or bombers. |
We don't care. We are all here for the Prize. Have been here longer than the mangy old cur. |
I am out, 47.12% is not to be sniffed at. |

If there is any truth in the news article stating Sudani requested a last minute amendment to include Gas production could that be at the request of Total/Shell ect? We know ICG are openly inviting Shell into Kurdistan! How do the ICG appease big oil in the south on miserly $6 service contracts? The Ministry of oil have said they are banning Gas flaring in 2027! Just a mull. |
Several letters a day from Akipurs solicitors should focus his mind . |
Depends if Trump wants a war with Iran just yet, I'd have thought. |
Maybe it's time to go solo, Iraq is a pigs ear |
I dont think it matters what they do now ,nor do I think they have a choice. The cat is out of the bag so far as the Constitution goes. Sudani is screwed either way.
IMO |
Interim speaker of the Kurdistan parliament has just resigned |

Lonepilgrim - "Habs, yes I agree, Sudani has been spooked by the thought of losing control to all of the regions. So what does he do next ?"
I imagine that's on everybody's mind. What does Sudani do next.
If he concedes that the Kurds have constitutional rights over their resources in order to get the pipeline open, then as we saw yesterday the other provinces and regions will want to exercise their constitutional rights as well.
At the same time we are told that negotiations with BP over a $27 billion plus deal are "almost there". So he needs to get the pipeline open.
As I've said many times, the ICG have painted themselves into a corner, and with only 7 months to the expiry of the ITP agreement he has to do something or the KRG and Turkey will just revert to exporting Kurdish oil as they did for 9 years without caring one jot what Baghdad thought and without Baghdad being able to do a thing about it.
And this time Baghdad won't be able to bleat about the oil being smuggled and illegal because the Court of Appeal has ruled otherwise.
But what can he do, he's between a rock and a hard place. We can only wait and see.
Interesting times. |
Very odd. I was under the impression he was the one who wanted it passed and was dragging the Iranian influenced lot kicking and screaming. This was deliberate sabotage it seems. Why? Is anyone's guess currently. |
The amendment on the amendment has really put the cat amongst the pigeons unfortunately. Weird of the PM to throw it in at the last minute. Particularly when there have been multiple agreements and understandings been the KRG and ICG about how the oil would be managed reported by the media over the last 24 months. I cant see how the KRG are going to be ok with having all oil and now gas revenue from Kurdistan going to Baghdad for sorting before them then paying the KRG their share. No one enjoys someone else controlling their revenue stream. But equally I do not know how the ICG reconcile the KRG being in charge of their own oil when they dont let anyone else in Iraq. Has all become very messy again. |
On a jolly in Davos probably! |
