Nothing since Port Capri left. There has been one in the waiting area for over a week now. Called Chem Leader. Destination Toros Gubre but we know how that can change. |
"Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid has ratified the amendments to the Iraqi Federal Budget Law."
It should appear in the Official Gazette tomorrow and then it's the law.
A big hurdle cleared.
Then negotiations with the IOCs to determine the ACTUAL costs can start officially.
Would be good if we could have a result before the FYRs in 5 weeks or so.
But in the meantime Baghdad have legally cleared exports to restart at $16 any time after the new law appears in the Gazette. |
No expected ships due in to Botas at this time. |
JUST IN: Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid has ratified the amendments to the Iraqi Federal Budget Law. The amendments centered around the Kurdistan Region's oil drilling and production price. |
Any news on tankers guys with tracking. We maybe start this week hopefully.

Head pm of Iraq is on his on and unfortunately fell out of favor with THE DONALD ????????????Trump wants to delegitimize the party system:? US Secretary of State Marco Rubio refused to meet or shake hands with Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.? Al-Sudani asked to meet with Marc Rubio, but the latter refused.? Rubio only met Nechirvan Barzani at the Munich Security Conference.? Trump refuses to deal with the political system in Iraq and wants to delegitimize it and considers it subordinate to Iran. |
The key points from Kev and Habshans article are below but sounds like all oil companies have agreed to begin exports getting only $16 paid to them until the correct figure is worked out by an intermediate company.

The Iraqi Parliament recently amended the national budget, increasing compensation for oil production and transportation from $6 to $16 per barrel. Hussein said this adjustment has improved the chances of resuming exports “as soon as possible”, with oil companies agreeing to the temporary rate. “Once the pipeline is ready and oil companies are prepared, exports can resume,” Hussein stated. “Until the actual costs are assessed, the rate will remain at $16 per barrel, subject to revision following a third-party audit.” |

The legal framework has been agreed upon, and discussions now focus on technical matters between oil companies and both federal and regional governments to resume exports,” |

![](https://images.advfn.com/static/default-user.png) "Iraq’s Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said. “We don’t have any other pipeline except this one. And so having a functional pipeline for us is important. It gives a kind of security in this terrible situation in the world and in our area that we can export our oil.”
Indeed. If Hormuz is closed Iraq is completely and utterly stuffed. Baghdad has no option but to accede to the IOCs demands. Without Hormuz their income drops to virtually zero.
Contracts and Kurdish oil sector validated, BP needs an export route, and this, Baghdad badly need the pipeline open:-
Yesterday:-
Haaretz Israel News - Netanyahu Plans to Attack Iran and Is Plotting to Lure Trump Into the War.
By attacking Iran, with or without the United States, Israel's prime minister seeks to turn the October 7 calamity into an epic strategic triumph.
CNN - US intelligence agencies believe Israel is likely to strike Iranian nuclear facilities this year.
Israel’s willingness to use military force runs counter to President Donald Trump’s current desire for a peace deal with Tehran, and the recent US intelligence cautions that major strikes on Iranian nuclear sites could increase the risk of a wider war breaking out in the Middle East.
Overall, Israel is also still pursuing the broader goal of causing regime change in Iran, one of the recent US intelligence reports says. |
Last chance is next week to get some at these lucky bag prices imo.
