They are required to state the number of shares purchased for cancellation. No RNS has been issued. So $10million of shares still to be purchased. In addition, the short seller will, at some stage, have to purchase shares sold

A buyback of Shares on any trading day may EXCEED 25% of the average daily trading volume specified in the safe harbour provisions of the Regulations dealing with buyback programmes and accordingly the Company may NOT benefit from the exemption in Article 5(1) of that regulation.

@Gulf_Keystone are fighting off a hostile approach+forcing an entity to bid it up.
OR
they have a done deal TBA + buyback is a stabilisation program , protecting market pre RNS.
Either way look at last buyback, as I highlight both for you.

If shorters are coming back, they would be less likely to be announcing it through you.

They have sold the company

This is not a buyback as we can see they not bought any .............

Its a stabilisation program forcing any third parties to buy higher.

Rather than crash it.

Not for the faint of heart but...

Gulf Keystone is effectively a free option (no time value) at this stage as local sales cover all cost. Once exports resume (question is when not if), this stock will be up >50%. Meanwhile, Shaikan is the type reservoir where time is your friend (below ground risk is the real risk in resource investing). Amen.

GKP shares buyback scheme of US$10m has started on Monday and will end in June 2024
Even with shares buyback , yet share price is struggling to move up - sad 😞 definitely shorters will come back for the kill

The announcement of the buyback scheme has stopped the shorting temporarily , otherwise GKP
I’d in there doghouse since the closure of the pipeline March 2023 .at that time , Many thought it was just temporarily but clearly the pipeline will not be opened soon .

Don’t be carried away by the upward price movement of GKP, as the shares buyback is just managed to do the trick however one can see share price will fall back - nothing has changed except the announcement of the shares buyback support is temporarily stopping the share price from falling back to £1.10 imo
