Clearly the Iraqi politicians also don't think it will re-open, otherwise why bother with a clause that states "if KRG's oil can't be exported we will use 400,000 for local consumption"

Big Difference in the article headline:

US ambassador to Iraq Alina Romanowski said on Thursday that Washington is optimistic about the imminent resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region through Turkey’s Ceyhan port.

And the REALITY of that she said

"Romanowski said that they “certainly hope that oil exports will resume soon."

You guys need to stick to the REALITY

I am sure she does certainly hope, that means absolutely nothing.

Doesn't fill you with that much hope does it! We have been told "in a few days", "this weekend", "within the next 10 days"....

yet the pipeline is still closed.

And the US Government is optimistic that it's reopening is "imminent".
