17/9/2022 21:13 | Bigdog - "Massive downgrade in reserves because they found the OWC hundreds of metres higher than where they thought it was at Sh-12. There is clear evidence that the OWC has been found much higher than they expected, the evidence being altering plans and not producing from the target depths but rather much higher up the well." Nothing here to even suggest ANY of that Sarah, not a shred of evidence. You're just making stuff up again aren't you:- 10/9/19 - "The first well of the drilling campaign, SH-12, successfully reached total depth ("TD") of 2,112 metres in the lower Jurassic Butmah on 23 August. Well results were encouraging with the structure coming in 53 metres higher than prognosis. The well is currently being completed and is expected to be on production later in October." 10/12/19 - "The first well of the drilling campaign, SH-12 came onstream on 13 November 2019. During commissioning, the well produced at rates up to 4,600 bopd, in line with expectations and is currently producing at c.4,000 bopd. ." 23/4/20 - "In November 2019, we completed the drilling of SH-12 and brought the well on-stream with an electrical submersible pump ("ESP"). This well was perforated in the deeper Butmah reservoir to test the response from that zone, and the main SAM reservoir remains to be perforated." "The well has been perforated so as to test the Butmah formation. The company have prioritised this appraisal work over pure SAM production." 23/11/20 - "Initial production from SH-12 was from the Lower Jurassic Butmah reservoir providing valuable information for future development planning. The workover involved moving up hole, perforating and producing from the main SAM reservoir. SH-12 returned to production on 15 November 2020 and the well is currently flowing at a stable rate of over 5,000 bopd." So there you go Sarah, they drilled to the Butmah to appraise it and harvest data including production rates for future planning, and then as planned they moved up the well to produce from the SAM. What's so hard to understand. They didn't intend producing from the Butmah yet because there are richer and easier pickings in the SAM which holds 75% of the Jurassic reserves and which contains lighter oil, they don't want the Shaikan contribution to the Kurdish blend and export pipeline to be any heavier than necessary, the SAM is 18 API whereas the Butmah is 11 API. Edison - "Given it's low API we do not expect the heavier Butmah interval to be targeted until LATE in the production life of Shaikan." And as for some imaginary MASSIVE downgrade in reserves caused by your imaginary OWC being "hundreds of metres" higher than they thought it was, well WHERE IS IT:- FYR 31/3/21 - "In February 2021, GKP issued a revised CPR from its reserves auditor, ERCE, reaffirming the significant Reserves and Resources potential of the Shaikan Field. Four years on from the previous CPR, Jurassic 2P reserves of 505 MMstb remain almost unchanged (allowing for production), which is reassuring and supports our view on the Geological model of the Jurassic reservoir." So the only water at Sh-12 is the perfectly normal "trace" quantities that will be dealt with by some water handling equipment. All is well. | habshan

17/9/2022 19:31 | ...and they were SO confident of their "deeper oil" judgement that they never went there again. They willingly passed up the chance, for a measly $25M? or so, to improve their OIP numbers... by how much was it again? What does that tell you nesto? Water in the formations in SH, water on the brain here. | broadford bay
17/9/2022 17:03 | SH6 produced dry oil 150 m's below where they thought they'd find the water. There well maybe vugs / drilling fluid reservoirs ( they used lots of mud ) and a few little streams. Once they know where the surface water drainage goes to they can avoid it. The Aquifer is another matter , think of Libya a sea of subterranean water. | nestoframpers

17/9/2022 15:27 | "You said I was lying about them finding water until the company proved me correct." You WERE lying Sarah. This is what you said:- "The OWC is hundreds of metres above where they thought it was." Show us where the company proved you correct. | habshan

17/9/2022 14:09 | How's the oil law coming along after 15 years of meetings between Erbil and Baghdad? Do you have any idea of what the problems with it are? There is a long list of them. Would any agreement last very long? The last one where Erbil get paid some budget from Baghdad and they provide the equivalent of 250k a day to Baghdad didn't. Something else I was correct about:-) | bigdog5
17/9/2022 13:57 | But highlander7 you promised all your fellow idiots here that the 55k was only weeks away back in early 2021. So why are they still 10k away almost 20 months later? You also stated the FDP was already agreed last October. Not according to the company as its still to come. You said I was lying about them finding water until the company proved me correct. You said I was lying when I told you they were having problems at S12, S13 and S14. Then the company proved me correct. Tell us all why after 10 years there are absolutely no signs of the Kozel fantasy barrels despite 15 wells. Explain why the Reserves continue to fall despite all the additional wells and CPR's. Get together with hetty habsham and invent some more pathetic excuses that just don't "hold water" unlike S12 and several other wells, lol:-) | bigdog5 |
