1k - the day after the bond is repaid. I also hear the Sinopec CEO has his diary blocked out that day. 🕺🕺🕺

$2 jump in Brent last couple of hours. The march back up the hill is on.

Hello OiliO

Your comment about a takeover on August 3rd

Are you in a position of saying anything more or is this hopeful speculation?

Probably already have been bought back, n.m, around the £2 mark. Bent as a corkscrew. But it probably frees things up for the march back up the hill. Glad I nicked a few more in the low £2 area.

Looks like those trades may have created ‘the gap’ on the graph - so likely to be sells.
Now reported - although not sure where recorded - they can be bought back at profit - as share price currently stands

I suspect it's from sometime last week when they were busy dragging the share price down. There were some around 221 as well.

Doesn’t seem to be showing on todays ADVFN list of todays trades though.
Quite a lot of 5000 trades varying between 217 and 219.

oilio - what they have to do is announce - provide independant valuation support , call an SGM 2/3 week notice. Then its consecrated....you could have an announcement anytime

Well, would you believe it? A whole raft of late-reported trades went through just then around the 220 mark. They wouldn't be messing with the sp, would they?

That's true, pastybap, but hopefully none of this will be material to the eventual outcome.

Not true on an enterprise value basis. The gross cash will have dropped by an equivalent amount. Though, the annual reduction in interest payment will increase net profit and EPS and therefore some increase in company valuation.

Good point, NUFC. IF there are restrictions in the bond a new owner, especially a major INOC, might balk at signing up to those terms. It's starting to become apparent how many boxes have had to be ticked here.

I recognise your point P2 - we are now committed as a company to the remaining divs +bond call + the new NED .
All of this would form part of the sales implementation agreement conditionality.
So we must very close to moving to short form amalgamation.

Our new NED may have told the BOD that it's simpler for the bond to be paid off by GKP now, then for it to be transferred to the new owners and then paid off by them.

I don't think that's the point, G_C, as it's a neutral equation. I think the point is to create freedom of action, should it be needed.
