01/3/2022 09:48 | It looks like we will have to be satisfied with a succession of dividends. Not that that is a disaster but after 9 years I'm getting more than a little fed up. I would like to get this sold and get my life back. With Brent at this level our share price should be much higher | ticketmaster
01/3/2022 09:34 | NoR The invasion of Ukraine was decided following 30th August when Biden made a disaster out of exiting Afghanistan. Putin saw what a shambles the US Military is and how masssively incompetent and feeble the US leadership is. That opened the door for Putin to strike with confidence. It is hard to stress what a disaster Biden has proved to be globally. The consequences of the USA going from a net exporter of oil to a net importer has had major influence on increasing the price of oil and now the USA is a major importer of Russian oil, financing the Russian Oligarchs, while the everyday people of Russia are struggling with a rapidly falling rouble and interest rates going up from 9.5% to 20%. Elections have consequences, stolen elections have disastrous consequences. Biden is a disaster for the world. | 1waving
01/3/2022 09:12 | You'd have thought that Putin and Ukraine might act as a sobering effect on the childish Politian's in Baghdad thus resulting in a fair HCL and greater cooperation , but nah it's too much for the 5 year olds to manage . | nestoframpers

01/3/2022 07:28 | All these sisters exiting Russia maybe the perfect storm to force an auction for the mighty shaikan as they need to keep their profits and dividends payouts. Talking divi payments, will we get one more before the year end or a needed reassurance of quarterly divi next financial year instead of the ad hoc approach to dividend this year? You are welcome nor, should be at least a nice 25% return soon. | howard smith
01/3/2022 07:13 | News.... Pressure is mounting on more British businesses to sever ties with Russia after oil giant Shell became the latest company to quit the country, ditching gas projects with the country’s state energy firm Gazprom. Shell on Monday said it would exit its 27.5% stake in the Sakhalin-2 liquefied natural gas facility, its 50% stake in Salym Petroleum Development and the Gydan energy venture. A day before, BP announced plans to offload its 19.75% investment in the state oil behemoth Rosneft following international outrage. -------------------- This of course will affect both profits and dividends.....so where next ? 01/3/2022 05:10 | Malcy............ Oil price Greetings and this week’s blog comes from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Friday’s oil price fall was short live as it was based on hopes of talks regarding the Ukraine which have not occurred, yet. This has been followed this morning by another rise of around $3 taking WTI over $95 and Brent $100. The signs are that we are in for the long haul given the huge exposure to commodities that Russia controls but surely the oligarchs at the top and the downtrodden people in the streets will not put up with this forever. I don’t follow BP but today’s statement makes pretty grim reading. They are to sell their 19.75% stake in Rosneft (good luck with that) and messrs Rooney and Dudley have resigned from the board. The 1Q figures will have details of non-cash charges which, having cut loose Rosneft BP will wave goodbye to the massive dividends that they have been taking from the ‘investment | highlander7 |
