Thinking about the Genel situation and the PSC's being taken away the hosts have been in court before but isn't it fair to say they managed to obtain better deals for themselves in going that route?

What is clear is that the hosts make the rules on everything and they are always in their favour. Are we witnessing a re run?

I have said before the hosts can at anytime change the rules/PSC's which would result in more "negotiations", which will obviously be in their favour.
The company notwithstanding all the excuses from you clowns haven't progressed anywhere near all their plans and predictions over the past 12 years. I would suggest that the hosts believe mid forties production in that time from all those wells is far from impressive. They won't have been pleased with the wipeout in 2016 and the fact that the Insti's took the company. I hope for your sakes the hosts aren't having a mull and perhaps looking for extra troughing.

Perhaps they're treating habSHAM in just the same way as they treated RW, Mr Kurdy? Perhaps they remember all the trouble that shediak caused when he/she posted up the company had installed several ESP's and a few of us posted up they hadn't. "Pumpgate" required time and money spent sorting out their rubbish that clearly shouldn't have been required and wouldn't have been welcome. But unfortunately that's the sort of levels that the rampers have resorted to over the years in their desperate need to mislead others.

Aimvho but it does prove the point that the rampers here make up all sorts of BS and one only needs to check out the posts from the multi aliases of the Stockport moron, the "ex in the Industry" clown and the Test tube washer.

She isnt even that . She never sold Landrover parts. All she ever did was answer the Telephone in the old portacabin they used as an "office" then pass the call over to "Uncle" Tony.

"dangerous delusional fantasists " is a serious under statement for that pair of idiots.

"That's just about the best you can do an email to IR to be told nothing.
Do you need a subscription to the new GoatCam."

The email to IR brought about an official response from the company Tony.

Statements that are unsubstantiated from someone who is totally unqualified, has never worked a day in the industry, whose background is in the cleaning up of old Land Rover parts and who professes to be a successful stock market trader but who lives in a £110k terrace house in Worsley tell us nothing either.

So I'll go with IR.

Bloomberg...

Hedge fund short sellers are under renewed scrutiny, and this time it’s by the U.S. government, not WallStreetBets. The Justice Department has launched an expansive criminal investigation into short selling by hedge funds and research firms, scrutinizing their symbiotic relationships and hunting for signs that they improperly coordinated trades or broke other laws to profit. The scope is wide-ranging: federal investigators are examining trading in at least several dozen stocks, including well-known short targets such as Luckin Coffee and Banc of California. It’s not clear which firms if any may emerge as targets of the probe. The investigation opens a new front in an already treacherous era for short-sellers, clobbered by the pandemic and cooked by retail traders. The latter have taken to social media to gloat, saying they “told you so.” —Margaret Sutherlin

Genel Energy

Genel has provides the following update on the Bina Bawi and Miran Production Sharing Contracts. Further to Genel’s announcement of 20 August 2021 that notices of intention to terminate the Bina Bawi and Miran PSCs had been received from the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kurdistan Regional Government (‘KRG’), Genel has received from the KRG formal notices purporting to terminate the PSCs. The KRG has also stated that, pending resolution of the dispute as to whether such notices are effective to terminate the PSCs, it will not perform those obligations under the PSCs that would enable Genel to progress the development of the Bina Bawi and Miran fields.

Since entering into the PSCs in February 2017, Genel has made every effort to engage with the KRG on the development of the Bina Bawi and Miran fields and has submitted numerous development proposals to the KRG for its approval. However, the KRG has for some time made clear its intention not to permit the development of the fields in accordance with the terms of the PSCs.

In these circumstances, the Board has concluded that it is left with no practical alternative but to accept that the PSCs are terminated as a consequence of the KRG’s repudiatory breach and to claim compensation from the KRG. Genel’s claims are substantial and will be brought in a London seated international arbitration to be commenced in accordance with the disputes process set out in the PSCs.

Genel has a long and constructive relationship with the KRG, and continues to work with the KRG on the development of our other assets, as we look to deliver our mutual goal of increasing production in the KRI for the benefit of all stakeholders.

Genel will update the market on future developments. Following the termination of the PSCs, the balances associated with holding title to these PSCs will be derecognised and therefore removed from the balance sheet.

There is little to add here, the matter is sub-Judice and there is no comment from the company to add to the barest of facts. Over the years I have grown used to the slow progress of Bina Bawi and Miran but genuinely thought that the offer to develop the oil in order to pay for the gas was more than reasonable business practice.

Quite what happens here is anyone’s business, investment so far by Genel is substantial and this is an asset for sale with a billion dollar law suit attached. Genel are trusted local partners and have spent considerable time and money getting to this stage, what’s not to like?

Recent cases like that of Cairn and of course Dana in Kurdistan show that The State is not impregnable but common sense would indicate that jaw jaw is better, and cheaper than war war.

Shades of AB/BB/SA.How much do the KRG owe Genel?I don't think the KRG have a leg to stand on.

As a matter of interest does anyone know if these blocks have been assigned to another party?

Does anyone else know of a share with so little volume but continues, day in day out, to have substantial UT trades at the end of the day? Could it be GKP’s buyer or proxy picking up all the loose shares at the end of the day? It would certainly be one way to accumulate without raising the share price too much.
