The head of the Investment Authority, Suha Al-Najjar, announced that the entry of the French company Total into Iraq confirms that Iraq is an attractive environment for investment.

Al-Najjar said that Total pumping $27 billion into Iraq and investing in the energy sector confirms that Iraq is an attractive environment for investment.

She explained that this amount constitutes a third of the Iraqi state budget.

Shafaq News/ The European Union(EU) will continue to support Kurdistan, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, told the Region's Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani, earlier today, Tuesday.

The remarks of the EU's top diplomat came during his meeting with PM Barzani in the capital of the Region, Erbil, according to a readout issued by the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Borrel highlighted Kurdistan's role as a stabilizing factor in the Middle East, stressing that the EU will continue to support the Region, particularly in the battle against terrorism.

For his part, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the European Union's supporting position to Kurdistan, laying emphasis on "the role of the EU observation teams during the upcoming elections, especially in the Kurdish territories outside the region's jurisdiction."

According to the readout, the meeting touched upon the economic ties between Kurdistan and the European Union, the reforms executed by the ninth cabinet, the Baghdad-Erbil relations, the living conditions of the internally displaced persons in Kurdistan.

Baghdad / NINA / - Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Farhad Nematullah Hussein, discussed with representatives of the World Bank in Iraq indicators of improving the business environment.

This came while presiding over the second periodic meeting of the Diwaniyah Order Committee (52 for the year 2021) concerned with following up reforms and addressing indicators for evaluating the business environment in Iraq that the World Bank mentioned in its annual report through improving the regulatory environment for the private sector and its workers, as one of the basic items in achieving economic growth Encouraging young people to engage in the local labor market and shift towards the private sector.

The representative of the World Bank indicated, according to a statement by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, that the Bank is a key partner in supporting Iraq's aspirations; To improve the business environment and implement strategic plans and programs to achieve economic growth, in implementation of Iraq's commitment to the terms of the White Paper approved by the government earlier in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the Diwani Order Committee (52 for the year 2021) includes in its membership representatives of the relevant authorities from the Supreme Judicial Council and the State, and the ministries (Foreign Affairs, Trade, Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the Central Bank of Iraq). / End 8

55k has never been in doubt to me.

Nor me , modifying process plant design (debottlenecking) takes time and a lot of design calculations, then you have a long Lead Time (delay) waiting for the necessary equipment to be ordered , delivered , installed and tested ( commissioned) .

Then the plant and wells have to be balanced for the new throughput , anything from a week or 2 , to a few months.
