There are 7 reservoirs in Shaikan . The Jurrassic is 3 Shards high , 1000 m's. Why do you need to produce from another reservoir at this very early stage in Shaikans developement ? A MOC needs to spend $1 bill to get it going full bore. It will be well worth it and pay for it's self in months.

21k a day net to the company. Still, the oil's not going anywhere is it. what little there is of it.

But highlander7's "legend" boasted (and paid himself) on predicting the company would be producing 150k a day by 2014? Looks like there's a lot of missing barrels just like h7's posts.

Yes but production was 3-4K from lowered reservoir. No report of water. Clearly have to stop that production to do work over. So -3+5 =+2 for BB!

Strange that when asked highlander7 wasn't able to tell us all what any of the "tweaks" were isn't it?

I thought the announcement was spun very well btw. Big up the good stuff but don't mention the other. I've said that many times and its as true today as ever.

Just waiting for hab SCUM to "spin" why they're not producing from their target lower down. But he gave me a good lol at his "spin" on why production has dropped. I like his "you don't think" way of trying to "spin" an excuse.

But that's his trouble, he doesn't think or join up the evidence he just fantasizes.

Have you clowns done the numbers on how the 55k a day will be achieved? I wonder how long before an ESP gobbles up something that it won't like? Will it choke or drown?

Oil prices reach three month high on improving demand outlook

(Bloomberg) --Oil touched its strongest level since early September as signs that Covid-19 vaccinations in the U.S. could be underway within three weeks improved the demand outlook.

Markets broadly rallied after AstraZeneca Plc became the latest company to report a vaccine that protects most people from coronavirus. Vaccinations will “hopefullyR21; start as soon as Dec. 11 or Dec. 12, Moncef Slaoui, head of the American government’s Operation Warp Speed vaccine acceleration program, said on CNN on Sunday. A weaker dollar also buoyed crude.

The prospect of a treatment has reshaped the oil futures curve, with nearby prices rallying more than later ones. Small pockets of the WTI curve moved into a bullish backwardation structure on Friday, and those gains continued early Monday.

Houthi rebels in Yemen, meanwhile, claimed in a statement to have struck a Saudi Aramco fuel distribution center in Jeddah on the kingdom’s west coast with a missile. Aramco didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Crude has jumped around 20% in November as pharmaceutical companies made rapid progress on readying anti-virus drugs. Optimism that relief from the pandemic is in sight has seen the market look past surging infections and more lockdown measures. The U.S. is now averaging almost 110,000 more daily cases than a month ago, while the opening of a Hong Kong-Singapore travel bubble has been delayed by two weeks due to an uptick in cases in the Chinese territory.

“Positive risk sentiment, a weaker dollar and those unconfirmed missile attacks are supporting oil,” said UBS analyst Giovanni Staunovo.

Prices:

West Texas Intermediate for January delivery rose 1.5% to $43.04 a barrel at 10:48 a.m. in London
Brent for January settlement added 1.6% to $45.68 a barrel
The rapid firming of the oil futures curve is a sign that the market expects a rapid tightening of supplies ahead, RBC analysts including Michael Tran and Helima Croft wrote in a report. The move higher has been one of the largest in recent years, they said.

And there are signs that despite hits to demand in Europe and the U.S., the market is already seeing falling inventories. The amount of oil stored on tankers at sea fell to 115 million barrels last week, the lowest since April, according to Vortexa data.

highlander7/habsham/sarahgibbs, my reference "there's nothing happening" is a pi$$ take of JG's comments at court in relation to Kozels bragging of takeovers. Of course other work is carrying on, how the flock do you think they're continuing to produce if there's "nothing going on"? There are workers on site "carrying on" with production and workovers. You morons should cease trying to score points and read more carefully what those of us that do know what is happening post. You're making yourself look a right numpty highlander7 with your empty accusations and desperate attempts to discredit.

Then there's the maths which you're having trouble with so read what Broadford has said. They add a well which "currently" is at 5k but how long will it stay at that number because with most/all their other wells they have to choke them back. Production numbers from new wells all look good but as the evidence proves after a time the production numbers fall. That's something else you should think about.

Then there's the bit about initially producing from lower down but they're going to be producing from higher up. That's been mentioned by a few of us several times. Now what do you think they found lower down that has forced them to alter their plans? Will Evian be having a mull?
