What Broadford Bay doesnt know , or understand , is that Contractual Disputes are the price of doing business , not just in the Industry as a whole , but in the ME in particular. So there is nothing particularly untoward , or unusual , in Dana's issues with the KRG. Its a cultural thing.

So trying to use it as a scaremongering example of investing in Kurdistan shows a lack of experience as to how we actually operate.

"A Sharjah-based group, run by people who, ahem..., "know exactly how it's done out here", whose undoubted interpersonal / relationship skills have been nicely honed over many years"

Interpersonal/relationship skills and networks are important Broadford, especially in places like the Middle East. It's a small tight knit community here where everybody knows everybody else and people spend a lot of time networking.

These two go back a long way and now their vast combined knowledge and experience has led them to two "world class assets" in Kurdistan.

Dr. Allman-Ward (Dana Gas)- "Started his career at Shell in 1982, and subsequently held senior management roles as Vice-President Exploration for Asia-Pacific. He left Shell for Dana Gas in 2012"

Jaap Huijskes (GKP)- "Started his career with Shell 30 years ago and worked in a variety of project engineering and other roles around the world. Jaap’s last role with Shell was as Project Director for the Sakhalin II project in East Asia, followed by a short period at head office as Executive Vice President for all of Shell’s upstream projects."

and of course Dana know this ....."The Kurdistan Region estimates that it has recoverable reserves of at least 45 billion barrels of oil and 5.66 trillion cubic meters of gas"Which would make most large Industry players take note ....as I am sure they have already.

No takeover again then Paul, care to comment on why?

Could it be because its appreciated the Kozel barrels are BS and were just for troughing purposes? And that the fabled 45b the hosts bang on about are smoke and mirrors to assist with their biscuit fests?

Just asking like.

I note that the share price was down again, wouldn't it be rising if there was any interest in the company?

JG got one thing spot on, there's nothing going on and still isn't.

Cheap merger best you clowns can expect. Possibly less than 1p imho.

"The Kurdistan Region estimates that it has recoverable reserves of at least 45 billion barrels of oil and 5.66 trillion cubic meters of gas"

And just like Kozel's "estimate" (read BS) of barrels none have been discovered in eleven years. P2 now down to 250m?

But there have been several downgrades and company's that have gone belly up trying to find them.

Could it be said that Koruptistan have a fekkin nerve announcing they're open for inward investment when history has conclusively proved they can't be trusted to pay their way and use any excuse to alter the contracts when they see fit?

"A Sharjah-based group, run by people who, ahem..., "know exactly how it's done out here", whose undoubted interpersonal / relationship skills have been nicely honed over many years and who have UK & western shareholder's true interests at heart. LOL!"

So it's not just GKP's directors who you think are crooks then Broadford. Everybody else is as well.

You claim to be invested somewhere where you think EVERYBODY is a crook.

Your motives for being here, like Bigdog's, just don't add up Broadford.

Based on their history why would any company want to do business in the "last great frontier"?

Why don't you drop Dana Gas a line and ask them Bigdog, I'm sure you'll find their response very informative.

This morning - "Dana Gas to boost natural gas investment in Kurdistan Region."

“The $236 million Egyptian asset sale is in line with Dana Gas’ strategic goals of strengthening its balance sheet and focusing on the development of its world-class assets in the Kurdistan Region,” the statement from the company announced.
