News out now - The #Iraqi government has decided to send 320 billion Dinars as part of #Kurdistan Region's share from the federal budget. This came after a phone call between Prime Minister @masrour_barzani
and his #Iraqi Counterpart @MAKadhimi

Broadford, transparency far too expensive for the hosts? They ensure they don't suffer so why agree to anything with Baghdad? There will never be any agreements that will last. Decades on and nothing has changed.

And this is what they are saying down in Baghdad:

"...Today, Friday, the MP from the Wisdom Movement called on Hassan, and he supported the use of the same procedures that were followed by the government of former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in the face of the Kurdistan region’s violations of laws and the constitution.

"There is a great opportunity for the Kurdistan Regional Government to prove its good faith, and if it does not respond to the conditions of Baghdad, there are very large legal and constitutional means of pressure that were practiced by the government of former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi," Fadam said in an interview with him (Baghdad Today).

He added, "The government of the current Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, can embarrass the regional government by taking the same legal steps in order to ensure that the region’s salaries are fully transparent and protect them from the greed of the corrupt."

And that "the Kurdistan government is now embarrassing in front of its people because for years it has taken money from the federal government and goes into the pockets of the corrupt, the corrupt parties and leaders, and deceives the people of the region that Baghdad did not send their salaries."

Doesn't look good does it...?

300MW POWER STATION OPENED NEAR ERBIL
Iraq, August 9, 2020
A new 300-megawatt steam power plant has been recently opened in Khabat, on the outskirts of Erbil.

The plant, built in partnership with South Korean companies POSCO and the Korean National Oil Company (KNOC), adds 10 percent to the region's electricity capacity.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said that Kurdistan's gas production will also increase in the near future as part of the KRG promise to provide 24 hours electricity.
