It's not really a trader's share anymore (imo), as our friend Atino found out. There are bigger forces at work on their own agendas and trading against them would be foolish.

Being margined short currently without a REAL guaranteed stop could be the worst trade ever entered into if a sale announcement comes, a JV, a buyback, dividend. It looks very illiquid to me

Yes...also most PIs must realize that trying to trade is a bit risky ,right now .

I'm not sure what's going on, ccr, but they're shuffling the pack for some reason and, in the past, that's usually been to fill an order. The problem they've got, as I mentioned before, is that most p.i.'s have bought in the pound shop and they might have to push it up to release a few. It must be driving the mm's crazy not obeying the normal rules.

Not from me, ccr, but it does look as though they might walk it back up again soon. This must be a trader's nightmare as it seems to ignore the chart pointers at times. News is guaranteed this week and it ought to be good, otherwise answering the analysts's questions could get tricky. All assuming, of course, that the capital markets day goes ahead. :-)

He's likely to take another hit if he's gone short again. This drop has the hallmarks of an order fill. It's still not a good idea to short a cash cow.
