O63, I think this has stemmed from bob's repeatedly complaining there was no resolution re the accounts. But as you say, no different to previous years. And the fact that it was on the agenda, first item of business, means the accounts (and related matters) couldn't be excluded from the Q&A...if anyone had any questions, that is.

I have been to most of the AGMs and this one wasn't any different than before other than the amount of time the Directors hung around afterwards.

Somebody tell me what was different from previous years.

Which AGM formalities do you think were disregarded, Olieslim?

Fake Taxi,

That one is worrying as I have no idea of what to think of it other than a signal that just spells bad news inevitably coming somewhere down the line.

Of a different order but nevertheless also a worry, somebody pointed out how the Dublin meeting could hardly be regarded an AGM like it was labelled by the company. That because of a total disregard for the formalities that make an AGM an AGM and which raises the questions whether the BoD cares at all, take an AGM seriously, take shareholders seriously or even themselves seriously. Was it all just 'keeping up appearances' and they couldn't even be bothered to hide it, which is not uncommon for those having accepted defeat and are hanging in on borrowed time?

I can only hope the above are not connected.

One suspects that either mr genel energy is a certain young lady in disguise. Cannot remember her name but everything she bets on goes UUUUUUUUUUp, in her mind as it diminishes into oblivion!

I do miss her elderly friend (killed in car crash), she was a star, threats and all that, I miss her, as does Netters and many others, especially oil_investor, right up his street!

It's damn good to be short here!

Thank you Olieslim

Yes I found that DNO RNS very interesting, something I would take a lot more notice of than Sinopec rumours.

Mr g e, all bonds were converted into shares. At the exact date of consideration, all bookies opened on the price.

I chose to go short, maybe risky but I think not!

My only curiosity now is why the directors would consider themselves still in a close period, offer talks of course would be a reason, any other?
------------------------
-Merger
-Taking it private (for ?)
-Conditional lump sum for the arrears (condition still not been met)
-Something connected with 'future rights and obligations' wrt Shaikan (see DNO RNS) which maybe awaits some political event
-Deal is done but execution needs the Oil Law
