In around 2 weeks time we will have the results being published, this will finally give us clarity on the financial stability and will in turn bring back confidence in the company. All signs are telling us it is going to be ok. imo of course.

Not all of these trades today are sells.
I've started a holding here again as I see this as good entry point.
My last trade was cheaper than the first one which I find strange.
Positive appointments announced today.
Thanks

I am not doubting the merch sale aspect, just that we really have no idea of current demand, albeit to just the one merch top. The results should give a clear indication on this, it will not take much to work out cost price and units sold based on the total figure, if the total figure is all they give in the report.

Merchandise was part of the renegotiation with DB and Footwork. DB has spent years honing his brand and that requires him to demonstrate and deliver for each of his partnerships, which he will be advised on before agreements are signed, and partnerships that will work and not fail. It is not about cashing a cheque each year, else he would not have a brand to offer and his connections would diminish due to the little he would have to offer a company. I'm not sure if there is demand for the merch as yet, only Guild would truly know that, but it will need to be stated in the results too. My head tells me Guild need to move higher up the esports team ladder first and then with that they will generate a more loyal following of fans. Along with some star players too. Anas falls into that category.

I believe we will see a merchandise deal soon, I can't see a reason to hold off selling merch to a fast growing fan base otherwise, the current shirts are awful, a good design but you need to be demis roussos to fit into a medium shirt, with the right guidance the merch will sell off the shelves forever and ever :)

Exactly. It is not difficult to work out from a business level, although some are struggling with that on some media postings. Generally these posters are haters of the social media world though. You would not take a role in a company that is in trouble and you would not take on senior employees if you knew you could not afford them. They have budget for them and that budget is in turn going to generate revenue, so therefore pay for their salaries. As they are coming from world of esports, then it is also fare to assume that they could end up bringing valuable baggage with them, at some point in the future. The results are reflective of the past, but with the recent Q3 and Q4 partnerships, cost cutting, renegotiated DB contract and a number of roles being filed, todays appointments were not advertised, so they likely head hunted, which says even more about their ability in esports. I am keeping my expectations low for the results, well, I would like to now see the company profitable and with the current mcap, things could turn very quickly for us if that was proven to the market. imhoGL

And for those that are still concerned about the earnings in 2 weeks, failing companies do not hire new staff in growth related positions.

Pending sponsorship deals now describe as in high level discussions guild have not disappointed before so who is next I wonder, just one deal that's in the sky range of sponsorship would see guilds mcap propelled into the mid teens imo, double that of today's mcap.

I would not task mcmather with running a bath, let alone the basic runnings of a business. And to think mcmather was the fastest swimmer on that fateful day!Into the filtered bucket you go.

Man City/Newcastle 2 extremely rich/well run Clubs are on the look out for sponsors all the time, its a priority.

Suggesting that these 2 need sponsors to be viable is ludicrous.

It is known as Business.

Seems good for the future but that last sentence:

"In addition, these hires will strengthen our offering to the potential sponsors that we are in high level discussions with, which is a priority moving into 2023"

Why a priority? Will the business only be viable with (more) sponsors?

Yeah, that is some strong esports experience from all of them coming through the door. A message of intent I would say.

Well that was a pleasant surprise, 2 new team members and an internal promotion. That should instil some confidence back. Just a few weeks until the results! Personally, I would release any big news separate to the results RNS as one looks to the past performance and one the future. Now do I buy some more!GL

We still have selling atm, my guess is the very last blu star dregs or pioneer holdings / Mike Edwards. Still no further tr1,s so impossible to say who the culprits are. This forced selling is going to mean a rapid rerate on the right news and at the right time, the intraday rise of 80% on the sky news will be made to look irrelevant.
