01/12/2011 19:21 | No great surprise - clearly the buyers desparately want a piece of the unquoted action - after all, we all know that this is a cheap bid, and paying a premium to the bid price now will probably be irrelevant in the longer term in the context of the eventual rewards off market. | mesquida

11/11/2011 16:18 | Would have loved to but train up the coast @17:00. I'm afraid it's no use to people who bought @2p (old money) and then @150p (new money) - bloody shame had no money available @8p not too long ago. Somebody else is going to get the prize but that's business. | aceuk
11/11/2011 15:36 | Sorry remember you were close just couldn't remember where. (I'm out in Wrexham later for a beer if your over that far?) Just spoke to the CFO and i,m still hoping for another offer but starting to believe that not a stitch up - just not good for us long term holds. | ljsquash

09/11/2011 21:26 | mesquida, To be honest I know very little about this share. I'm only here because I have a large interest in NAS. I have no strong feelings either way about staying in the unquoted vehicle. I suppose it depends on one's liquidity position and whether one feels there are better risk/reward plays in the market. Des | deswalker
09/11/2011 21:15 | puffintickler - where exactly in the Offer statement are the words that make you think that the unquoted option is not available to HENDERSON. In my opinion it is a given that the threshold for this option will be triggered. DesWalker - you seem a little cynical about the unquoted option - did you spot today that Richard Griffiths has now been buying above the bid price. I am now seriously thinking about buying more in the market so as to protect myself against the possibility of only getting a relatively small allocation of shares in the unquoted vehicle. Surely you would agree that the really best rewards are often made off the market, although I have to agree that this was not the case with CLIPPER which I think was the last time that our paths crossed! | mesquida
08/11/2011 20:25 | Not sure myself. Some alternatives ... - very unlikely it is someone who is short and needs to cover sooner rather than later and hence is willing to pay a premium. - more likely is someone wishing to in effect buy an option for 0.5p that a higher takeover offer is made by someone else. - also fairly likely, that someone is very keen to get involved via the unlisted alternative and desperately needs 10% to meet the threshold and hence is keen to pay slightly over the odds to get up to this figure. I don't hold here but on balance if I did I'd definitely be selling to get my cash out quicker and secure the tiny premium. IMO, DYOR | deswalker
08/11/2011 20:05 | Any theories on why the current price is over the £1 on offer? I have a break even of £1.03 so it would be some small consolation to get back to that point after all of the years of waiting. It just doesn't make sense to me how I could get more now than waiting to take up the Offer. | gbcol
