Ftse having been up today will lose its steam tomorrow which means GSK will most likely fall again .

Market in unforgiving mode. Astra received similar a while back. Would anyone be tempted? Would it receive approval? Ms W, I think, should be looking for a successor if this pattern carries on for much longer.

perhaps if they post terrible results the share price will go through the roof. ftse up over 100 points and this is obviously being kicked about.

#Monty, I have a few of those and look at the FTSE portfolio as an annuity, what it cranks out in dividends is what matters, take them to live on or roll them all back in again and grow the PF for free.. :o)

Sorry boys made a mistake I said shareprice below what it was 30 years ago, it's 37 years ago, I just treat this as a bond with a low yield, compared to what you can get.

Very strange as only news today is good news - It is still very early days, but GSK’s respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) Arexvy seems to have flown out of the traps more quickly than Pfizer’s rival shot Abrysvo in the first weeks since they reached the market.

Almost 1500 around 24hrs ago and now sub 1400!!

Having got back in recently at 1430ish I will add slowly but was thinking about taking a quick profit at the open yesterday!!

JP Morgan reiterate its Sell rating. The target price is increased from GBX 1300 to GBX 1400.

I treat GSK as a bond, shareprice way below what it was when they took over Smith Kline Beecham, but use to get 6% dividend so ok we put up with management.So no growth in shareprice for 30 years absolutely awful. I can't see things changing.

It's simple maths here.....divi of c 4% and sfa about it in today's update is a downer in a market where you can get 5-6% safe treasuries/money market funds. Emma needs to get her priorities right-otherwise this could drift to £12 to make the yield competitive, and the market needs to see sustained growth before trusting GSK again

You can't have this share for capital growth, shareprice below what it was 30 years ago, no growth, but for income good payer.
