When the company split off the Healthcare operation, I wish they'd have also issued a 10 for 1 split to form new GSK.

Consider this: today they are +10 on 1495 and some holders think this is a strong start. If the price was 149.5, then a rise of +1 wouldn't impress.

Didn't quite make it yesterday, a strong start today though

The close should be interesting. It would be good to get it to break 15 by late trades.

It moves on a daily basis, so must be set to lag by an amount of time. I'm going to ignore it! Haha

Well if you look at the URL it seems to be a date range for 20 minutes delayed pricing.
But if you look at the output the prices are all wrong.
So one has to assume its broken - another key clue if the word "legacy" - that normally means this graph is no longer supported. Hence its most likely broken.

Yes net I agree with what you posted yesterday and put a buy order in yesterday evening for what I got out for less the stamp. Obviously it's not been hit so far today!!

Good luck all 👍🏻

tuffymatt: I would get what you're saying, but the wider market is down this morning and GSK up (and HLN) so it seems to me what is going on with these two companies is independent (for time being) to the wider market.

Would GSK go up if a bid came in for HLN?
How much of HLN does GSK still own?

For sure WST it's a good solid long term buy and hold with a great divi. My hope is to get back in before the 23rd as I do think the wider markets are likely to come off a bit which may impact GSK.

Took profit here as although I think it's worth more I wonder if it will fall back down again to circa 1400.

Will get back in if it does and good luck all 👍🏻

Whilst litigation proceedings over GSK’s legacy product Zantac remain underway in the US (with accusations that the drug caused cancer) a landmark federal case was won in GSK’s favour in December. A federal judge in Florida, managing a case with 50,000 claims, dismissed the Zantac litigation in a 300-page ruling, finding that the plaintiff’s experts didn’t use reliable methodologies to connect Zantac to cancer.

GSK is still exposed to state-level claims in the US. However, this substantial ruling both removes a large proportion of potential cases and sets a precedent for a likely dismissal of further cases down the line.

I would feel more comfortable when we break back above 1500 and this level then becomes a support rather than a barrier.

Its capital intensive, and interest rtes are rising. Could it be that other Pharma companies are overpriced rather than GSK underpriced?
