Thanks for the link. So it would seem the relentless barrage of derision directed at our CEO from many posters here may prove to be a tad premature. Imitation is after all the sincerest form of flattery.

Going against the market but just about at £16.
I wonder if this would have happened without Elliott.
AZN have taken a 4% hit today.

GlaxoSmithKline PLC and Vir Biotechnology Inc. said Friday that their Covid-19 treatment sotrovimab has shown positive results for its intramuscular administration.

The British pharma major said intramuscular administration of sotrovimab was non-inferior and offered similar efficacy to intravenous administration for high-risk populations.

The FTSE 100 listed company said the treatment is aimed at patients with mild-to-moderate Covid-19 in high-risk, non-hospitalized adults and adolescents.

Both companies plan to progress regulatory submissions globally, including continuing discussions with the FDA regarding the existing Emergency Use Authorization for sotrovimab, they added.

That won't happen - the Club will support her till the bitter end. It will have to come from outside the board and Singer is the Agent of Doom for her.

UNLUCKY ....... AZN posted a net loss of $1.65bn (£1.23bn) compared with a profit after tax of around $650m (£486m) in the third quarter last year, a statement said.

I cannot see the price dropping for long next Thursday (ex. div day), given the current performance of the GSK share.

The last day you will get entitled to any divi is when the shares start trading as ex-dividend on the London stock exchange and you keep your shares until the following day, shares will drop in value almost by the equal or more amount so there are no guaranteed figures, read the small print to get wiser !

If you're planning to sell on ex dividend you will probably find the share price has reduced by the same as the dividend so it will cancel it out

If I sell now will I lose my dividend payments this time round or is it locked in ? Bought at £15.50 a year ago is it worth waiting until it gets to £17 or is that unlikely

It is a nice life for some TM, especially for those with golden tickets (remuneration committee members). Still, I am sure they are all worth every penny for their notable efforts and outstanding achievements... :)
Meanwhile, back on GSK matters, looking good for 16 quid before ex div I think. Keep pumping the QE and leave interest rates alone, and the stock markets will continue to run hot for a little while longer IMO. Terrible in the longer term of course, but what will be, will be.
