Top international agencies representing global health and the economy have told government leaders around the world to finance a $50bn (£35bn) package to end the coronavirus pandemic by increasing access to vaccinations. The International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, World Health Organization (WHO) and World Trade Organization (WTO) on Tuesday made a rare and what they called "extraordinary" plea for international cooperation and investment."By now it has become abundantly clear there will be no broad-based recovery without an end to the health crisis," the four bodies said in a joint statement. "Access to vaccination is key to both.".... Yahoo Finance

Yes still good yield with 55p dividend, more than Astra. But shareholders who held for years with a 80p dividend, won't be happy.Shareprice below what it was 25 years ago, so no growth.

I expect cut from 80p to 55p, I think that was the figure Credit Suisse forecast.

For anyone holding and interested in company comment, FiercePharma is a good place to
start and free to read. Just search under GSK and you can read months of company specific articles.

I've already seen one comment from a pharma analyst saying the June presentation
will be akin to GSK ... marking their own homework.

If this was a racehorse it would be shot for the insurance money. Hopefully that's what Elliott have in mind

If that were true there'd be no point in doing it? The presentation will outline forecasts for each business, set dividend policy going forward ... detail that has never been released. So it's an important event.

I think Elliot are more piggy backing on what's already happening here With the added bonus that they might change the management of the de merged life sciences business

Absolutely - consumer diversion could be sold of to anyone The vaccines division could of course be sold to the Welcome Trust - but doubt they would pay at attractive price given the lack of competitive pressure

Company is been split and GSK holders will get shares in both . If someone wanted to bid for consumer division then I would assume government or GSK wouldn't stand in their way .

But that's always been the case ,Elliott hasn't forced this to happen .

I'd still argue Elliott's hands are tied , Emma had already announced split and government closed door on Foreign take over .He has brought nothing new to table.

Regardless of all that GSK is a fantastic long term hold with potential to be a star if they find a cure for let's say cancer or even vaccine for covid .

Much is being made of the June presentation but there will be little to say over and above what they presented at the JPM pharma conference in January
