There are a few Unit trusts but I can't find an investment trust. |
Some people think Trump is a great negotiator. Principle amongst those people is Trump himself.
One way of judging his success is to look at his business record.
He started with USD 500 m (inherited) in the late 70s Since then the main US stock market indices have gone up about 50 fold.
So just by passive investing his wealth would be about 25 USD million. However its much less than that. Somewhere between Zero and 8 billion.
So if you rate his negotiation skills highly the evidence is to the contrary.
I think we need to be worried about the US economy and other economies plus the situation with Russia and China where the Worlds democracies are looking a lot more vulnerable than they did before Trump came to power.
I have gone to much higher cash levels in the last few months as a strategy. I would think Gold will continue to do well. |

Trumps stupidity is boosting the Gold Price as he caves in to Putin and puts European safety under a huge cloud.
Might give gold price and the markets a short term boost with the propect of the end to the Ukrainian war but Putin has already achieved massive concessions before negotiations have begun. He will have a path opened for him to recreate the Soviet Union. |
