I suggest you read the Telegraph article where it talks of Brown keeping instep with other countries. .Clearly you have to be right, don't you Rose? Either way just shows how not all the Scotts are prudent, eh Rose / "THE" :-)

The share price was rocketing vertically until the weedy
share buyback announcements reminded everyone,
including potential buyers, that there is no
return to the shareholder from this company.
The only way to make money from GFM is to sell.
Who will volunteer to be the greater fool?

A few big trades towards end of play yesterday and quite a lot of t/o today. I think a lot of people have their eyes on the last peak.

Could be resistance? to half answer tyg's question about share price predictions? (not that I do really).

Absolute rubbish, Zoo.

Gordon Brown was in the vanguard of the central banks selling gold.

Not only that, he was incompetent in the way he went about it. A series of Dutch auctions. Each auction divided into lots with the final price for all being the price raised for the cheapest lot!!
To compound the folly the eligible bidders were restricted to a select few.
The price of gold was guaranteed to fall - and it did.

The rot ceased when, at the final auction, Goldfields turned up, bought the lot and wrote off their hedge book.

Finally everyone could see that the emperor had no clothes and the price rose dramatically, leaving Brown with egg on face.

Finally, in a last throw of the dice, he repeatedly tried to persuade the IMF to sell their gold, ostensibly to distribute the proceeds to alleviate world poverty.

But he was fooling no one, least of all DSK.

Happy days but only for those invested in gold and miners!

Bit like today, eh Zoo.

Watched police in a programme in Brighton this week using drug wipes. The number of people driving whilst intoxicated is alarming.

Anyhow, don't you have other things to do?
You said you did. Was that not true?

What's another term for "not true"?

I bring to your attention an article in a major UK
newspaper. You clearly haven't bothered to read it
before commenting. What a surprise. I "would be
saying" read the article. As it happens, I agree
with the author, but they are not my words.

The article says that Brown was following the advice
of so-called experts, not the example of other
countries, many of which are feverishly buying gold
at the current high price.
