Phillis, it didn't reach what people claimed it would, did it? Talk of 20p and 40p now lots sour grape posts and reporting the company. All tosh....People and certain trolls need to understand the BoD are there for two purposes only. The company and themselves, not the shareholders. :-))

Yes, you keep reminding us of an unrelated share
discussed in a forum in which you aren't allowed
to post, the inhabitants of which don't post here.
I can only wonder why.

It's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it and how much the BoD wants out. I shall yet again remind you of SHG and all of the so called know it alls.

Half price, Rose.

Percentages confuse him.

Zoo.

"BTW jockstrap what was the price of the bid for SHG and what was the share price at the time it was announced, I think you will find it was a mere 6 percent higher."

I'm struggling to understand the point you are attempting to make.

If you are simply extending our tutorial sessions on percentages then well done.

In the spirit of which, here's another tutorial for you:-

Investor A buys 1 million shares in SHG at 11.4p
Investor A adds 1 million shares in SHG at 9.8p
Investor A adds 350,000 shares in SHG at 12.94p

Investor sells 2.35 million shares in SHG at 13.33p

What is Investor A's percentage profit/loss?

For simplicity you may ignore dealing costs.

He is pretending that he didn't get it wrong in the first
place. Another attempt to rewrite history rather than just
admit he expressed himself poorly. Details matter when you
talk figures, and he is sloppy.

Zoo.

Your original position was "25 percent OF the share price at the time of the bid".

Now you have changed to "25 percent HIGHER than the share price at the time of the bid"

I'm delighted to see that you, possibly, have finally grasped the point.
