They may well have planted documents, Phillis.
Why else did they refuse to allow Trump's lawyers
to observe the search? They made them wait outside.
We already know they tried to impeach Trump on the
basis of totally made up allegations in a dossier
created for and paid for by the democrats and fed
to the FBI by a democrat paid source.

He had them as president. There is a rule, not
a law, that he isn't supposed to retain documents,
but it isn't a crime for him to have kept them.
They aren't current documents, just stuff he had,
properly, when he was in office. If they exist.

The real question is why the FBI felt they needed
to raid his home. It looks like a show- the sort
of thing they did to Rudy Giuliani just because he
was Trump’s personal lawyer. He was subjected to a
secret warrant so the FBI could spy on his cloud
for months before raiding him early in the morning
and seizing all his devices. They charged him with
nothing, returned all his property 15 months later
and quietly closed the supposed investigation into
alleged foreign lobbying violations.

The process is the punishment.

But what happens if nuclear docs ( or any others that shouldn’t be there) are found
