Alan, strange times but as you say time to watch things. I don't think things will get better just yet with the virus still spreading and the oil situation. Zoo

Sage, given Italy have now started to almost close its boarders you may get another nibble on Tallow. The virus and oil prices are causing mayhem.I shall watch and see if there's an opening, problem is how far /bad will this get?Zoo

Hi, am 60% cash, 30% Vanguard global Bond and 10% shares. Only invested 2% of my portfolio today. Tullow at 16.5 ( results Thursday, short term hopes of Russia doing a deal but fat chance of divi), more Aviva and Standard Life. All shares I have tracked for a while . All shares I never expected to buy at these levels. Tullow to trade. The others to hold. Only.a liar always buys at the bottom and always sells at the top.

Evening zoo/sage/up, not a very good day today but at least we new it was going to happen ,bango looks extraordinarily cheap at 76p ,I e mailed ray today and got a reply saying nothing has changed and everything is going to plan ,will look at it tomorrow , I still maintain when Wall Street turns and rises we will follow , it’s a question of how quickly and how far it will rise , sleep well ,

NHS England figures show that approximately 17000 people die each year of Flu.
COVID19 is expected to kill 350.

The herd mentality has cost thousands of jobs and will send hundreds of companies to the wall.

The press are the single most unscrupulous sector who are directly responsible for the current financial and medical rumour mill.. costing real people their livelihoods.

Sage what price did you manage your nibble at?I've put it on my watch list and if it drops back below todays low on opening one morning I may have a quick punt. In fairness to G he had said caution which I agree with but as a quick day trade it may be worth the risk. Zoo

I should have added that the low point on Tallow could be tested again given how the markets are. That would have made the post make more sense. Zoo

G, looking at Tallow it may lift, but given that it was expected that the markets would drop today. I can't help feeling that it may not have reached its bottom yet. Granted it hasn't much further to go. The markets at the moment aren't for the feint hearted that's for sure! The DOW looks like it will drag us further into the Abyss today as well, methinks however we may see s lift tomorrow as people calm down a bit.He says with fingers and toes crossed. Zoo

Sage, Tullow. The last dividend was not paid and the P/E ratio will be nothing like 3 with the oil price at its current level. They may well be a punt but still quite risky.
Good luck

Just had another nibble at Tullow. Results on Thursday. Very profitable company on a P/E of circa 3. Dividend yield now of 20% plus following today's share price collapse.

Alan, GGP put results out should help to stabilise it, but I see the thirties for GFM. The Budget will also have an effect on peoples thoughts as well. Off to replace a fence post I hope it stays up better than the markets.Zoo
