Another 250k went through yesterday making 480k at 180p, does seem that stake building is going on.

Half a million trades yesterday and over one million today so far. Something is going on.

dd, I don't think acquisitions are on the table at the moment.

Full management focus will be on delivering (and hopefully beating) 2017 H2 forecast numbers. The problem with an acquisition, apart from trying to identify the right one at the right price, is the amount of management time they use up and I reckon this is at a premium at the moment. Also they have to find a new CFO, not a real problem in my view but still time consuming. So I reckon acquisitions are off the table for the foreseeable future.

I wonder what type of businesses they are looking at when they speak about identifying target acquisitions this half, perhaps they are looking to address this.

GottaFly makes a good point about bottlenecks caused by the lack of available implementation resources. Do I remember correctly - did they not appoint some partner(s) that can help provide these services. If not and if it is an issue then this could be a good way of dealing with the service requirement peaks that are inevitable with a growing business. Any ideas here?

dd are you referring to me as seeing the technicals, this is certainly not my strength, the market continues to mystify me!

As I have said on here before I think the broker forecasts are very much what they believe GHT will achieve. They have not factored anything above this level because this, in their view, would be an exceptional performance. They do not doubt the quality of the product offering or the management (the N1Singer brokers report is pretty glowing) but they do see two significant barriers for growth - band width for implementation (customer satisfaction is critical) and intense competition from incumbent suppliers which at the very least is likely to delay sales.

The brokers have legitimate concerns but I just reckon that GHT might deliver that incredible performance. So yes, I am very hopeful that the brokers have called it wrong and judging by the apparent stake-building it would seem that others have the same view. As always DYOR.

Another poster on iii seeing technicals as I was seeing it. I think 200p+ is now a given this year just how high above 200p. How much longer can the brokers drag their feet with their forecasts and share price target while the share price moves ahead.

Well closed on a respectable high note considering the CFO step down announcement this week. Overall a positive week against a background of some stake building, I am becoming boring but interesting times ahead, As always DYOR, especially Quantas, but it does have a feel of an share price going north.

What happens if we reach Cantors 200p? They grudgingly upgrade by another 20p, again.

I had a technical reason for suggesting a rise was on the way soon but obviously there could be other reasons aswell! There is room for more than one opinion. Goodness.

Who's talking technical ? Its about supply and demand and ght being plagued by big supply for ages now.

I dont think the rise will be just technical we could have fundemental rise aswell this month, as we are nearing 9 months of year. Insiders will know how much Gresham have achieved of the expected full year in 9 months. share price is at 52 week high now and I have no doubt the brokers will grudgingly raise their year end targets at some point.

I think his exit will be amicable and well managed, after he is staying to oversee the 2017 numbers. I guess a share sale will very much depend upon his personal circumstances and what his career break involves. So if he needs the money he will sell but if not then I am sure he knows how good an investment GHT is.

I see some reasonable share volume today, again at the 180p level, more stake building?

The much more interesting thing is who his replacement will be, this I think will very much set a marker for where GHT is headed, exciting times ahead me thinks.

I wonder what price he paid for them; some of them must have been exercised options you would think. Well if some are at 28p then he can make a killing. If he holds then it is likely there is more upside in the price. Although its not insider trading as the FD he has knowledge that is hard to forget once he leaves. Assume there must be some sort of protection on this post him leaving. Maybe a sell lockout for a certain period of time after he leaves. Just my rambles what does everybody else think or know?

4-10 - according to the GHT 2016 annual report

I don't believe that Rob Grubb has any share options which upon reflection looks a little odd, he appears to own 231,405 shares.

The major option holders are:-

Manocha 1,500,000 at 111p Date of first exercise 01/06/18
Royde 500,000 at 28p 31/12/13
Archer 700,000 at 28p 31/12/13

Well a bit of a surprise in the Rob Grubb announcement and I am sure that we all wish him well. He has been a good servant to the company in the last eight years and it is pleasing to see that he is taking a career break rather going to an industry related job where there could be conflicts of interest. It is also good that he will oversee the critically important 2017 numbers and that there will be continued ownership of these.

The hand over process looks to be well under control and with Andy Belchin on the board we are not short of the necessary experience to choose a successor. Whilst I am sure we would not have wished Rob to leave this does present an opportunity to bring in a fresh/experienced face ready for the growth challenges ahead.

Given the GHT prospects I suspect that there will be no shortage of applicants and the new appointment, in my view, creates a fresh opportunity for GHT. It would not surprise me if a replacement has already been identified.

Once again Rob I wish you well and thanks for your efforts and I think overall this is a good news story.

gottafly I dont think Kestrel is a broker with individual holders under its nominees account. I think it is Kestral buying and selling but it is a mystery what they are upto.

SP would have reacted better if there was more meat in the RNS, its a little bit of crumb for some shareholders to get excited about. A year or 2 ago tier 1 contracts were announced with value of contracts, now such contracts are all "immaterial" and dont need regulatory announcement or value attached to them. Really?
