As some of you know I have been following this since they acquired UNIQ.

Topped up at Christmas and still think this is good value because:

1. Low PE
2. Stakes being Built
3. AGM soon - good news I hope
4. Regular large purchases late in the day c£300k

AGM is on 28th Jan!

Good luck.

OK - that will do. Basically despite it's brilliant performance it looks like we can still make money from here.

'Greencore is a leading manufacturer of private label convenience foods, enjoying double-digit earnings growth on the back of strong sales momentum in its Food to Go businesses in the UK and US,' he said. 'The company is attractively valued at a 22% discount to the European food sector, which earnings per share growth is at a 50% premium.

Analyst Damian McNeela, at broker Panmure Gordon, told the Irish Independent he believes Greencore will weather the storm because of its leading position on the food-to-go market in the UK

Also read an article recently - the huge growth of convenience foods and stores. Nice (sorry, don't remember the source)

Thanks Richtea
I've never spread bet but have been reading the last couple of months to learn, and feel that confident in both VEC and GNC to open a couple of long positions which I will do in the next couple of days once my TradeFair account is open.
I'm up 32% total in my S&S ISA since the summer, largely due to VEC and GNC.
Thanks for your answers

Can only really speak personally but would go with Vec with so much to look forward to with revenue streams ramping up and approvals all over the place. Vec up about 35% so far for me but Greencore over 90% on the whole. On that unscientific basis Vec would appear to have more to come. Vec easily my biggest holding at 15% of total.Have long spread bets open on both - my only positions. Both are my conviction shares along with Biotech Growth IT and Telford Homes which can't break 150 at the mo.If Vec does not reward us well then I will be selling up and putting it all under the mattress. Here's to a good year.

Mr Tea, a quick question. If you had a few £k to invest would you choose GNC, or VEC where you're also in? No worries if you'd rather not answer, just wondered where you see the most potential over the next six months

Regards and wishing everyone a great 2014

Well my fellow investors - I have topped up again. My view is that the PE is still low for the sector and hopefully we will see continued positive news at AGM on 28th Jan. Only the Brave....2014 here we come....

Ahh Mr Tea you're in here too, nice. I'm only in VEC and GNC in my S&S ISA, and loving them both. In fact I'm drip feeding my GSK employee ones to add more as we speak
