Still no dividend instead they go for buy backs again it's been 4 years since they paid a dividend. Still just a recovery share

During the covid low interest rates were low, not so now. Profit has evaporated due to higher interest rates and £10m finance costs

The covid low was around 90p when no-one had a clue if/when a vaccine would ever come along.

That's the absolute baseline price as far as I'm concerned. A sensible target IMO is the 165-175p it reached (twice) a few months either side of that baseline.

Fortunately the market was already pricing in doomsday so anything better than that has been well received (phew).

Good results? 😆😂🤣

A loss before tax of GBP6.2m (H1 22: GBP1.0m profit) was reported due to lower operating profit and increased finance costs.
-- Adjusted EPS of 0.5p (H1 22: Adjusted EPS of 1.8p).

Good results , sales up significantly . Excellent 10m buy back program after 15m , could cross over 95p soon

Bad results, there has to be a massive turnaround in H2 for them to achieve the expected FY figures.
I can see why Emma Haynes has been kicked out.
It looks like M&S made their big profit at Greencore's expense.
The £10m buybacks should stop the share price dropping too low.

Results here aren’t going to be good…

“Given the lower than expected volumes due to the disruptive impact of continued industrial action on demand and operations and the expected lag on inflation recovery the Group now expects to generate an FY23 outturn at the lower end of current market expectations”

Last Wednesday they finished the £15m buyback. Together with the previous £10m buyback, the company has bought back 31m shares or 5.9% of issued share capital. The half yearly results are declared on the 31 May and I'm pretty sure that the company will commence another £10m buyback with the share price being so low. Hopefully the share price will have recovered (ie over 100p) by full year results and the company will then announce a 3p dividend.
