P@. Not sure what it is at Telfer but a few guys I've been speaking to in Australia reckon it's usually about 1:7 so would need to be 2.8 km to get down to 400m.

Paddy the distance to the S.W. is 1.5km this gives a decline rate of 3 to 1 for the run down to the ore body, any idea what it is at Telfer?

have also tucked some SVE away, its holding in GGP as it continues to head North IMO is not reflected in their price, let alone their other holdings.....DYOR

Mufprat,I'm the last report it says the following'Further work is planned to evaluate exploration opportunities that extend the known mineralisation. Initial drilling conducted by Newcrest has confirmed higher grade mineralisation, broadened mineralised extents defined by prior drilling and extended the depth of observed mineralisation of the Havieron prospect. The results of drilling to date indicate the limits of mineralisation have been closed off to the east, and south, and remain open to the north, and at depth. Drilling programs at Havieron are ongoing with eight drill rigs currently in operation.'The important words there are 'drilling to date' - personally I think it's a lot of drilling to be sterilisation and it's over 1km away from the known orebody. It'll be interesting to see if they mention it at all in the report on the 30th.GLA Paddy

The spread is getting wider. Are they trying to stifle buying?

Morning Paddy. POG is probably going to keep motoring during these uncertain times. Re the SW, hasn't that direction already been closed off? So potentially sterilisation? Incidentally, thank you for all your research, the depth and quality (pun intended) is absolutely first class.

Gold and its miners should be somewhat
insulated from the general bear market,
as a safe haven. I am surprised the
gold price hasn't yet really taken off.
I am also in Centamin, which has been
stuttering though it is actually aided
by low oil prices (as most miners will
be).

Another share I hold that should do well
against the bears is Plus500, the CFD
broker. They recently posted a 487% Q1
increase in revenues. The bear market
and volatility bring them customers.

T, RE oil there is going to be a laps prior to things settling down. This is how Trump helped broker the deal. Which is better than him doing nothing. https://theweek.com/speedreads/908419/trump-helped-broker-large-oil-production-cut-opec-russia-mexicoZoo

It would seem that this rally is nothing mroe than a Bear rally which will soon be followed by a further 25% fall in equities. Although some are betting that this time it will be different and the markets will continue to recover, There may be some truth in that, for sure the Fed is throwing huge amounts of financial assistance at the problem. Whether it will be enough remains to be seen. The so-called oil deal is a continuing farce. Production cut of 10M b/day is nowhere near enough to deal with over-supply. 30M b/day would be closer to the mark, hence why POO continues to languish. To achieve 30M b/day, USA would need to contribute which Trump won't support. Mind you, he has become fixated on the correlation between POO and the DOW, so perhaps he will. None of which has a direct impact on GGP for us long term investers as quality will 'out' in the long run. But I wouldn't be adverse to adding a few more at a lower price. I've a couple of other stocks in my SIPP which I'm looking to liquidate soon and then just sit on cash for a while. FWIW, my personal view is the bear market will dramatically deepen between now and August.

Trump is not in a position to tell the
oil companies to limit production. The
dictators in Russia and Saudi can make
a deal amongst themselves, but the USA
has laws against trusts and price-fixing.

D, given the OPEC agreement which should help the markets in general along with gold pointing north also Spain saying construction can resume which I hope others will start to follow should help the markets. America is the one lagging given the time that the virus kicked off there. As much as I dislike Trump he apparently aided the oil deal. So we may see a smoothing of the markets. I would like to see a dip into the mid to high fours again in order to top up with some more. He hopes. :-) Zoo

With gold up to $1710 (as I write), let's hope the update is as good as the ones preceding it. Hopefully this will help to re-rate our share price.
