23/1/2007 19:25 | Results Friday (afternoon) when all the press has gone home for an early weekend and with a cursory statement ? | ![]() mw8156
23/12/2006 15:16 | What is happening to the proposed take over as recited in the annual statement, I wonder. Think Goodwin could do with a Chinese or far east base for their heavy castings manufacture.. | ![]() mw8156
23/11/2006 15:45 | Breakout. Could yet see £8 by year end as predicted by Jimmy Tarbuck in January. | ![]() valhamos
22/11/2006 18:02 | Determined price rise over the last few weeks - through £7.00 level (bid) today and retesting the high after last results. | ![]() valhamos
30/8/2006 23:25 | The talk of aquisitions was the one bit of the results statement that slightly unnerved me, in an 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' kind of way. It also made me wonder if any of the businesses are slowing up and need this kind of add-on growth. However they do seem to be able to manage quite a weird assortment of operations so integrating something new might not be so much of a problem. On the plus side too, it'll give us some newsflow to look forward to over the year as opposed to the usual information desert we face from one set of results to another... | ![]() penpont
29/8/2006 21:27 | Excellent results. Also pleased that the directors have felt able to give rather more information (e.g. performance of overseas companies and internet company)in the release than previously. Anybody any ideas on acquisition strategy? Presumably something small, overseas? | ![]() valhamos
25/8/2006 15:51 | Yes, good figures and have been well received. I wonder what eps we should expect for the current year - given they've said the valves business is still growing strongly and that everything else seems to be humming along, perhaps 55-60p? Should be good for 750p share price at some point, with more to play for further out. | ![]() penpont
25/8/2006 15:16 | Great results. Only to be expected. Glad I bought more now. | jimmy tarbuck
25/8/2006 00:29 | Roll on 3pm today then - only Goodwin could get away with releasing results on a Friday afternoon! Hope your optimism is justified JT, I'm holding too. | ![]() penpont
21/8/2006 21:56 | Knowsley, Your timing may not be as good as you think. I added to my position recently. Final results out this Friday. I expect good news. Can´t wait.. | jimmy tarbuck
03/8/2006 19:35 | Does Rotork's results portend good news for Goodwin? | ![]() mw8156
26/7/2006 20:41 | Valhamos My timing is much improved. Sold at 640p. | ![]() knowsleyman
19/7/2006 00:28 | More to come than today. In fact, much more to come. More red than blue today yet the price rises nearly 6%. There's a buyer in the wings for sure. Could yet see £7 - £8 by the year-end. Annual results, Friday August 25. Not long to wait. | jimmy tarbuck
18/7/2006 18:14 | knowsleyman "..my timing was as bad as it gets." Not necessarily; your view on your timing is dependant on the timing of your view. From a longer term perspective (a few weeks) with the price at 635p it doesn't look so bad. | ![]() valhamos
28/5/2006 13:14 | Would buy but not certain of the relative contributions of Hoben Goodwin Castings EASAT and the internet business. | ![]() mw8156
22/5/2006 18:35 | TOB Agreed - it's beginning to look interesting. I sold half late last year but looking to buy back if this fall continues. As ever not much information from the company, but growth in demand from petrochemical and LNG industries is not likely to diminish anytime soon. I'd have thought that the company must be getting close to a P/E of 10 for the year just started. | ![]() valhamos
22/5/2006 15:14 | Had the praises of this company sung by a friend. All the fundamentals appeared OK so bought at £5.80. Oh dear, oh dear, my timing was as bad as it gets. | ![]() knowsleyman

19/5/2006 18:13 | Now a fair bit cheaper than where I was selling, if this carries on I will look to get back in, as I see nothing wrong with the fundamentals. Because the company says so little, I don't know what Mr Horton did as a director, though we know they don't bother with non-execs, but then we don't know his age so he could have gone for all sorts of reasons, from retirement to a bust-up. | ![]() tiredoldbroker
20/3/2006 12:24 | Is this departure as abupt as it sounds or was it planned? Directorate Change RNS Number:0439A Goodwin PLC 20 March 2006 Resignation of Director Goodwin PLC announces that with effect from 18th March 2006 Mr. Philip J. Horton has resigned as a Director of the Company. | ![]() v11slr
27/1/2006 19:55 | Well, the results speak for themselves. I can see £8 by the year-end. However, my £5 prediction for last year proved to be too conservative. TOB, surprised you jumped ship on results day, but if you care to look in, your analysis will always be welcome. | jimmy tarbuck
27/1/2006 15:49 | Wow....CR. Did we need all that info ? May'be a 'link' might be better ? | ![]() chester |
