Wallstreetbets now claiming that it's members are NOT behind this surge in Silver. They blame Hedge Funds and say that they may be pushing the price up and pretending it's the Reddit and Robin Hood brigade, before then shorting Silver.

Be careful. It's a dangerous market out there.

This rise really took off when the Asian markets opened at 11pm last night and has continued during European hours.

Everyone cares about sleep, so the vast majority of the Reddit and Robin Hood brigade will only now be getting involved.

Silver is currently a fraction under $30 an ounce. It might struggle to break £30 but after that, anything goes.

The NYSE, NASDAQ shares are trading premarket that started about 10 am GMT this morning. Silver shares are generally 20% to 40% up. Gold shares are 2% to 12% up though shares like Barrick and Newmont are only 3% and 2% up. Looking at GPM's weighting gold to silver the share price should be up about 8% to 10%. The discount is a matter of conjecture.

I got the 1/3 silver from Sharepad, but looking at the December update it was 24.07% silver.
Although, given the recent move in silver miners relative to gold-miners, I think GPM is likely 1/3 silver now.

It's the Americans that are leading this charge into Silver, so as they can't trade until about 2pm today, it may get more exciting when their markets opens.

Yes, gold is somewhat left behind and some may have switched some of their holdings into silver and that has put an anchor on gold.

GPM was roughly 1/3 silver miners prior to this silver move. The NAV is really going to start exploding over the short term if this silver move has legs.

It's the Robin Hood and Reddit brigade who targeted Gamestop. They are now targeting Silver and Silver mining companies.

This should get very interesting this afternoon when the American markets open.

Silver stocks rocketed in Australia overnight. Silver Mines Limited SVL taking the lead up 48% with others 30% to 40% up. A glorious day Downunder.

If there is follow-through then GPM should reach 60p today or a little higher.

Silver is holding its ground a lot better than gold. It should push on to $30 far quicker than gold to $2,100.

Unfortunately the gold price gains are also disappearing! 😭
