14/1/2021 18:30 | Thanks for the posts I have my own ideas but it is helpful to get other peoples views | atlantic57
14/1/2021 17:52 | @ atlantic57 "What do folks think will get gold moving ??" In a word, INFLATION! Here's a good article | 12string

14/1/2021 16:27 | It is good to have constructive discussion ! i am surprised that gold continues to trade at subdued levels and the miners even more so. The market for crypto currencies is tiny compared to gold so i don't believe that is a valid excuse. i won't trot out the usual reasons why gold should be going up. What do folks think will get gold moving ?? | atlantic57
14/1/2021 12:48 | EWT is useless and more so given the illiquid nature of GPM. What 1-5 or a-c wave was it on the run up to Nov-30? The answer's neither - its movement was related to the expiry of the sub shares. | arbus5000
14/1/2021 11:26 | IMO the GPM chart is still bullish. We had the 3 up waves of a short term Eliiot Wave Cycle that started at the end of November and carried on into January. We are now experiencing the a/, b/ & c/ corrective phase of that Elliot Wave cycle. We've already had the a/ & b/ (down for a/ and a smaller rise for b/) now we have another small downward corrective movement, c/ | ultrasharp
14/1/2021 11:01 | It looks as if some delayed sales of GPM have gone through to lower the price to 56p - 58p. A few tipsters have knocked the present discount that is looking now on the low side. If the gold price and bearishness in shares across the pond continue the price at 57p mid looks vulnerable. Gold looks good for an eventual steep rise but Bitcoin is back over $38k and should go to $47k in the very short term IMHO. | noirua
14/1/2021 10:54 | The European Central Banks days are numbered in the view of billionaire Max Kaiser an investor in Bitcoin and gold. Of all the government banks they are affected most by cryptocurrencies. They are sticking firmly to the supply of euro notes and coins. | noirua
14/1/2021 09:35 | People often wonder why funds are at a discount to NAV. Although GPM takes 1.25% reducing to 1% per annum the actual amount for 2020 was 2.8%. If a fund stays at 100p and 2.8% is taken each year then it becomes 75.3p after ten years. | noirua

14/1/2021 09:20 | What time frame has "Mad Max" on both his gold and Bitcoin forecasts, Noirua? His gold forecast ties in with mine, but I believe his Bitcoin forecast is away with the fairies at the moment. | ultrasharp
14/1/2021 01:55 | Some are reducing their gold holdings including shares and heading for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Max Kaiser has forecast $220,000 for Bitcoin but cheered up the gold folk with a $3,000 forecast. Both are forecast to see sharp fallbacks on this rollercoaster ride. | noirua

13/1/2021 04:08 | Some interesting comparisons there . | ohisay
12/1/2021 07:36 | its a bit of volatility given gyrations in stocks/bitcoin. GPM isn't very liquid so its share price is slow to catch up (or down). | arbus5000
11/1/2021 16:21 | @ Noirua, I compare the close mid-price with The reported NAV for that day. That's the best metric we can expect I think | 12string
11/1/2021 00:59 | The two main Australian shares (West African and Westgold) are currently down over 8% on high volume - not looking good. Strangely Calidus up a bit. Gold price pretty static at first - worrying decline in the last few minutes. Time for bed - digest in the morning. | podgyted |
