29/6/2013 17:04 | Thanks Pem, full steam ahead then. Maybe this is the new faster streaming of drilling permits. A Karoon strike and we gain. Almost like a dry run for us. | gattaca
29/6/2013 16:58 | gatt, Karoon got the go-ahead to drill last week (i put a link on earlier). Sourcing rig and will use their SA drill team. | pembury

29/6/2013 16:40 | Pem, a good name catches the eye. Gold Oil, the name promised riches. That's why we're here chasing our losses. Licence extension talks have been going on for a long time. Berends must know the direction they're heading in. I really wish an extension could be announced asap. A refusal is unthinkable right now. Amerisur is a great role model for Baron. Berends seems to have an excellent network of contacts in Colombia through his other company. An excellent hunting ground right now. Peru seems incredibly slow, expect Karoon to experience delays. We need projects up and running now. | gattaca
29/6/2013 16:20 | gatt, I don't care if they call it FFS Petroleum as long as it comes good! I believe Ecopetrol were behind the company taking 100% in NBM so hopefully bodes well for an extension. Having Ecopetrol onside must be a huge plus if you want to expand in Colombia. I am sure they have an eye on what the company are now doing with this workover programme, they seem to like you a lot more if you deliver- Take a look at GTE, Amerisur for example and how they have gained momentum on the success of one field. They have been awarded some very decent new blocks since Costayaco and Platanillo successes especially GTE. Long way to go as the share price suggests but hopefully the new bod are re-building a good foundation to progress in future. Let's hope Baron Oil has more luck than Gold Oil! | pembury
29/6/2013 14:53 | Gattaca, I would probably retain 30% of XX1 since you asked. NBM has a lot to offer. The last board were responsible for putting B1 and B5 on long term test, but they didn't follow it up in the same way that the current board has. Z34 could still be massive for GOO 20% of 2 billion barrels. This could become a lot more valuable if Karoon are successful drilling Z38 in 6-9 months. However our current board are planning on acquiring new acreage and having a multi-pronged income stream, so it looks like we will grow in other directions. I think Baron Oil is great name and the future for it is excellent. nlmbidc | nlmbidc

28/6/2013 17:31 | Deadline for the July Oil Stock Competition entries is midnight on Sunday 30 June. Good luck! fb | flyingbull
28/6/2013 17:28 | Senor Berends How about granting me a few options at an exercisable price of 1.6pence? | chinadog3
28/6/2013 16:40 | nim, I think it's more important to have a large number of brokers / MMs rather than two trading platforms. pem, that's misleading, you're 94 now! | the guardian
28/6/2013 16:37 | nlm. I think i will be about 95 by then the way it's going. | pembury
28/6/2013 16:36 | Wait til the share price is steaming upwards. You'll be glad there are two exchanges then. | nlmbidc
28/6/2013 16:32 | Ditch the plus listing, said it before and saying it again. It's pointless having a listing on plus. | cockney sparrow
28/6/2013 16:30 | Assuming the two 225k trades were sells and not a rollover (which they could have been)we have: PLUS 903164 buys 106535 sells LSE 168375 buys 755000 sells Total 1.071.539 buys against 861.535 sells Quite misleading if you only look at the LSE! | the guardian
28/6/2013 16:29 | Right on cue a 250K Buy on PLUS and of course the share remains stagnant. | pembury
28/6/2013 16:19 | I've pointed it out to RB because it affects how trading is perceived and could discourage anyone from buying. | the guardian
28/6/2013 16:00 | As of Monday that aspect may well be resolved when they re-launch as the dashing red Baron? | valentine
28/6/2013 15:55 | I don't like the company being traded on two different platforms. With the majority of sells on LSE and buys on PLUS, it discourages anyone who just looks at the LSE trades. | the guardian
28/6/2013 15:44 | Absolutely. They are paying themselves in shares effectively and not robbing the till as others may have. Get the price up and get due rewards..all right with me..as long as they left me know first before they do it! | valentine
28/6/2013 15:39 | Not exactly stretching but Rudolph can do what he wants as far as I am concerned, as long as he gets the price up. We were facing sweet fa before he came along. | the guardian
28/6/2013 15:36 | Good stuff. They raise the share price over a couple of years and then sell off own holding to re-purchase at lower option share price Good for them if they achieve the higher price. Shows confidence and they deserve it for what they have done. Especially so if Baron hits 4p + as RB expects! | valentine
