I spoke to rb after the agm and he seemed keen to get the co name changed asap.

Its possible that the name change will be accompanied by an announcement of interest in a new field. If that is the case we may have to wait a day or two.

We have a new jv field in Putumayo! I think that is how it is spelt. They did not show picture for very long. NW of Platanillo and west of Suroco very close to Orito oil terminal and bang in the middle of other successful oil strikes.

Baron Oil, that is, has a new area, not GOO. plus other things! Ecuador for instance.

You can Buy at 1.467p. The CEO bought 2m at 1.85p.

Has anyone bought today and if so at what price. A mate is in at less than bid presently. Are they going to release more shares. Transactions are not showing
Someone asked where they one's @ 1.4p are coming from. Where? 1.409p is what I paid.

edit..The broker just came back, it seems, and said 'error' share price is 1.48p..their error! Lower price no longer available..

CS, I was just agreeing with TG that Monday would seem a logical day to make the change. I have no idea if this will happen though. Just hope we get to read the presentation soon on whichever website.

All good points Valentine. It will be interesting whether we get a decent upgrade on them proucing wells over at Nancy / Burdine. Rosa blanca could be a winner and I hope that we can fund the acquisition with a healthy share price of say 4p. It was great cathing up on all of the AGM posts on here. There was so much renewed enthusiasm for GOO. It seems that we finally have the right man at the top.

And they may expand on Maranta field and Ecuador when they re-launch.
The presentation illustrations and text looked pretty good. The funds/insts will see that prior to public exposure, presumably included on the new website.
the nasties are behind us new and the clear sight chap that is RB is guiding us towards an infinitely better future.

GOO's problem to a great extent was their business decisions..allowing Karoon to leave with a fraction of the money due for such an exit. Taking Z34 deep water location. It is very deep water, where the best prospects are, compared to what Karoon went with next door. Like half as deep again.
It is not a problem with modern rigs but it was a little optimistic back then, let's say.
They were forthright about it and that is why the deal with Union was re-jigged. A great deal given the 'free carry'
Karoon are bringing in the deep-sea rig for their location, Z38 and we get the ship afterwards and the cost is lessened. Karoon are paying for that ship to come from the Gulf of Mexico!
There are no such rigs off Peru presently.
Basically the old Bod's of Goo needed their heads looking at. RB is the head specialist and has corrected the problems they created.
Now he is looking at Onshore easy-access location where drilling costs are a fraction of deep-sea operations. That is a crucial difference.
Moore, Bell and co were dreamers who caused a nightmare for pi's!
RB will restore a comfortable night's sleep to those who have the faith.

After reading all of the feedback from the AGM kindly posted by the atendees, I'm going to miss this little fella.

You might be right TG, would seem logical to make the changes on a Monday and the first of the month. That would make today the last chance for a GOOd Friday.

I see from the website that we're diversifying into lavender oil and oil painting. The intention is probably to start trading as Baron Oil on Monday.

I think we could be in for an exciting few days.

I think the new name will be announced as soon as possible, possibly first thing tomorrow.

There will be some re-evaluation of our prospects and hopefully some broker notes that indicate an up-to-date price target for the share price

Our Chairman believes the share price is well under valued given the carries that we now have, so a broker note or two could get this moving.

Hopefully there will be some percentage acquisitions on new wells announced soon as well..

The name is registered at companies house and the web site is under contruction.

The id on the lse isnt decided yet as its not yet registered.

We'll probably know at 07:00 tomorrow as rb will not hang about.
