Dear Dibbs
Thanks you very much for your warm welcome! Like I say I feel its quite speculative at this stage and I had my doubts about pitching in but I think this will revalue at some point so I thought it wise to get in asap.

Robsy2,

Welcome to GOI. I hope that it works out as a good investment for you and all of us invested here!

The next news on recent trading will be very interesting, until then it can be pretty quiet here to say the least, although that is generally the best time to buy!

I've bought 5k at 17.6 p today.I think this is a bit speculative but it looks a reasonable bet.I like the fact that the rights were taken up at 17p , the directors are on board, The balance sheet looks ok , profits are now being made and the potential is huge, apparently they have 0.2% market share.
The service they offer is good. The other thing I like is that unlike a lot of businesses, the more they grow and the more the word gets out about their niche service, then the more opportunities they will have to grow profitably.
I like the way they are able to use technology and a fragmented market to bring buyers and sellers together, in that it's rather like Artnet which does something similar in the art World.
Lets hope the managemnet are up to making it all happen!
All the best

Masurenguy,

Sure can be hard to suss out trades at times like this. What I do know is that the ADVFN buy sell indicator is worthless! I still reckon that the strong recovery has seen a seller, who has today been cleared out. Looks good for the next few weeks IMO.

BritishBear, Interesting to see if we have any developments on that front. So long as the as earnings enhancing I'll be happy.

I suspect there is some corporate action afoot. Do not be surpised to see some swelling of the coffers soon - what to spend the cash on though? Geographical expansion?

Strange trades today Dibbs.

Apart from the 650k earlier today there have now been two trades of 500k, one at 17p at 11,24 and then a T trade at 16.7p at 14.41. Both are being reported as sells (as is the prior 650k transaction) but this can't be correct since the share price mid price is up 6%.

I wonder if the 650k was a sale that has been on the books for a while nowand the trades of 100k etc that we have been seeing have been coming from that one. Only one MM has been on the offer at 17p it would appear that the other MMs never had much stock. Nice to be blue after a quiet phase. Some new highs would be nice!

Was that really a 650k sell at 16.5p - share price is subsequently up 3% !

Looks like that 650k may have been the clearing of the recent overhang?? Price action seems to point that way IMO of course.

Masurenguy,

Another chunky trade today at 17p. Certainly seems we have a bit of stock around at 17p, although with a buyer in the market this should clear before too long.

After the dip and recovery I would imagine one or two investors are happy to sell a few around where GOI first started out.

I still see a lot of potential here medium/long term, reckon that one day the wider market will discover GOI and be prepared to rate it highly. Assuming trading remains strong and we see profits of course.

It makes me laugh to think how GOI would have been valued in the tech boom!
Midway between now and then will do me in a year or two!

Hi Dibbs,

Yeah I've been in LEAD for a long time now - the share price has been pretty volatile over the last 9 months but the company has made solid progress during that period and should have a good year in 2007, especially if they can obtain some significant contract work in India. TAN, RCG & LEAD are currently my largest holdings. Also took an initial position in IBG over the last couple of days.

I'm vaguely familiar with Tangent - they're a multimedia direct marketing and messaging operation. I'll take a look at them and also MSR.

Hope for some steady progress here, together with a positive trading update, over the next few months. It's a long time until their y/e figures in July.

Hi Masurenguy,

Sorry, been a bit hectic so posting at a low level!

I know ISD, one of CR's babies! I like the look of ISD and have been tempted on occasion, just never quite done it. RCG and TAN are my largest holdings, topups there have been too tempting.

I will take a look at SID, just looked at a chart and it looks very nice.

You also hold LEAD? I think I've seen you there? I have a few of them also.
A couple that I do hold and think are still good value, growth prospects are TNG and MSR.

TNG I've held for ages, growth sector, good technology etc. MSR, I bought recently, results yesterday were very good, they are do Content management software. Worth a quick look at IMO.

Better go for now, hope for some positive action here soon.

I've been in RCG since Nov 05 and TAN since APR 06 and have been adding to both since then. Both have been very strong performers.

Earlier this week I also took new positions in ISD and SID, in addition to GOI. I don't know whether you are familiar with those two companies (ISD is in retail & leisure music/video creative environments and SID is in asbestos removal)but I think both are strong potential growth candidates for 2007.
Any others that you like the look of for 2007 ?

I think that with luck the price has stabalised now. The 278k T sell yesterday was, I reckon the reason for the price weakness, along with a few smaller trades.

The buying now at 17.5p looks positive going forwards.

It seems Masurenguy that we overlap on a few stocks. TAN and RCG for starters. Very happy with both of those.

I agree. This could be a 'slow burner' for awhile until it reaches more radar screens via tipsters to begin with and then subsequently by further growth, both acquisitive and organic. The Chinese potential could help here.

I too am prepared to wait and that is why I have made my investment here via my SIPP fund.

Masurenguy,

Good luck with the buy, lets hope that it's all north from here. As you say this is a stock with few fans at the moment, which shows in the BB activity.

Forecasts for these guys are hard to come by which makes for a less informed investment. They do though seem to have turned a corner after a sticky post float period. Recent director buying and more positive newsflow have pulled this out of a nasty downtrend.

I suspect that the next good news could see this breakout to new highs. By then GOI will probably be a bit more on the map and a tip or two plus new investors money should push this on further. I'm sure that when people read about this "internet stock" working in part in China the herd will come a ramping!

I'm happy to wait anyway.

Hi Dibbs,

Thanks for your feedback. This looks like a good thread without any rampers.
Have done some further research today and decided to open a position.
Bought an intial tranche this afternoon at 17.5p.
