Its looks like here that the price is being pushed down by the MMs in anticipation of a bid? Perhaps Amazon will just buy GOCO?

Would of been good if they had done an RNS about rejecting the approach!!!

Wish they would let it be taken over!!!! Obviously you have to get Sir Peter Wood on board as he is a major shareholder. Not sure if it is great continually rebuffing offers. Maybe signals that no bidder is willing to make a knock out bid. The offer from ZPG of 110p in cash before was pretty low in my view.

looks like bloomberg have updated The U.K. insurance comparison company and its board decided to stay independent after holding informal discussions with its advisers and some of the potential bidders still i'm a bit surprised at it's weakness seems a prime candidate for a takeout at some point https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-08-24/gocompare-com-is-said-to-have-drawn-interest-from-kkr-other-pes

A number of private equity firms are reportedly interested in acquiring insurance comparison website GoCompare. hxxps://www.insurancebusinessmag.com/uk/news/breaking-news/firms-reportedly-interested-in-acquiring-gocompare-109824.aspx

Yes, if Peter Wood is looking to retire then maybe GOCO is effectively in play.

"The Group now consists of three highly complementary brands, ideally placed to deliver on our 'Savings as a Service' strategy that aims to make saving time and money as hassle-free as possible for consumers. This in turn enables us to build a greater life time value model for our business. We're working from strong foundations built around fintech speed and agility, alongside industry-leading tech capabilities, scalable platforms and a disciplined approach to capital deployment." Outlook We continue to focus on the disciplined delivery of profit and growth and the Board remains confident in meeting its expectations for the full year 2018. Sound hold for me. Peel Hunt, BUY, tp=140p

I don't like the idea of flat revenue - I am out.

Results are mixed. Adjusted EPS up 18.8% but revenue flat.

It's drifted back on very light volume - normal summer lul. Think you can over analyse these things

DavR0s - Well the weakness from 140p to 122p is likely to have been caused by net shareholder selling. I don't have any particular insight though. Could just be private investor selling. Oh well results next week on 31 July. Just a bit frustrating the modest valuation here. Given the net debt I doubt they will buy back shares.

Not sure how you infer that. Just range bound and low volume since the previous consolidation break as far as I can see

A shareholder obviously reducing their stake here. Forecast free cashflow yield is now 6.5% this year, 7.5% in 2019, 8.5% in 2020. Also net cash forecast by end of 2020. By contrast Moneysupermarket is on a forecast free cashflow yield of 5.2% this year, 6.2% in 2019 and 6.4% in 2020. Not sure why GOCO is much lower rated despite the faster growth. I guess the net debt position and a less diversified business than MONY.

I suspect that the lack of takeover news is dampening the price.

Looking weak here again. Trading update soon but in any event H1 results at the end of July. I remember they said that results would be second half weighted which is always a concern. However, acquisitions should boost the business and the outlook. Specifically the voucher focused adverts may have helped boost the switching business this year.

Bought in here a year ago. Up 45%, but more to go. Hope we don't get taken out cheaply! Amongst the others we share common interests in; I added XLM a couple of days ago and have held CCFS for a while now.
